Okay, I did a little investigation into the sad situation caused by our collective inability to count, and here's where we stand:
- There are no contests numbered 501 through 522.
- The most recent contest was numbered 549, which is as correct as anything, but contests numbered 550 through 570 have already been run.
- A contest dually numbered 523/573 was run, as was one numbered 577.
So I've decided to pick up the numbering at 571, and let future judges worry about whether to repeat or skip 573 and 577.
Now, as to the rules.
As many of you know, our beloved webmaster Brad has another project that involves him being a one-man band called "Brad Sucks". In this contest, we pay tribute to that project. Don't worry; you don't have to be a fan.
In this contest, your comics must contain the name of, or a line from, a Brad Sucks song in the narration or dialogue. But you can't just drop the word "overreacting" in and call it a day. You have to use at least one phrase that's at least four words long, or at least two phrases that are each at least two words long.
Here's Brad's discography, which should be a pretty comprehensive list of song titles. And here are the results of a site search for the word "lyrics". Of course, another way to find some lyrics would be to listen to some songs. (I'm willing to be lenient about misheard lyrics.)
If you use lyrics, mention which song they're from in your forum post. I may be a fan, but I'm not a wiki.
