I'm trying something new... something a bit more serious to what I usually do and something different to anything I suppose I've done before. I call it Infinity. Infinity will be a 5+ chapter series chronicling a slow and meandering plot initially set before its own conception upon its conception all the way up to the end of its fifth chapter at which point a shift should occur in which it branches out into a fully realised story arc per chapter- complete with a specific theme in mind for each story arc. Chapters 1 through 5 will consist of 5 parts each- parts that will consist of any number of individual issues. Each chapter and part will be called something vague yet relative to the essential underlying theme in the chapter or part so as not to lay seige to any potential impact of any potential punchline. Each strip will be numbered individually and separate from its chapter and part for ease of reference... for myself mostly, but also for anybody who might actually read my drudgery in case they wanted to look back on an issue. Each strip will also have its own title to allow for easy grouping of any potential mini-series within a chapter.
After the first 5 chapters, I intend to deviate and split the whole series into a collection of sub-series just as long and convoluted, with the initial Infinity continuing onward for an indefinite amount of time.
I wanted to make something that I could heavily invest a great deal of thought into. Something that could help me to get better at stripping and to further refine my humour whilst assisting me in taking what I learn and have learned over time and reflecting on it or even simply finding some usefulness for it. I wanted it to be long and winding, and for it to have no real direction yet still yearn to be given one and for its insistence on the matter to culminate into a product of that almost-perfection so many people strive towards in what they enjoy doing. I wanted it to achieve this after not days or months but rather years or even decades. Something that I could really drown my brain in, so to speak.
Due to the large nature of the project, I decided that all Infinity-related content that I make will go into a single thread.
The first chapter will be called Rebirth. It's first Part being titled Catatonia. As usual, any criticism is most welcome as it helps me to better myself. Also as usual, here are the first 5:
