My state senator recently posted photos of her attending a rally for Planned Parenthood, standing behind a podium with a sign displaying the hashtag for the event:
Of course, this makes me think of many things other than Planned Parenthood. Urinary tract infections, the recent allegations involving the US president and Russian hookers in a Moscow hotel, adult diapers, and so on.
Somebody should have asked a 13 year old boy, or even a dirty old man, if #IStandWithPP would remind people to support Planned Parenthood or something else entirely.
Same with Cheese Nips, but i digress.
So, this contest is about misunderstood slogans, advertising messages, product names, hashtags, and the like. Somebody's bright idea has an entirely different meaning to the rest of the world.
