Okay, I've got it.  We're going to do a contest about passwords.  People who use "123456" for everything, and what happens to them because of it.  Applications with byzantine password requirements.  Sharing a password with someone else even though you know you're not supposed to.  When was the last time you changed your Stripcreator password?  Have you ever changed your Stripcreator password?

I'll judge your comics as well as your computer security practices on Friday, March 24th.  So you have a little over a week.  Get cracking!

New rule: you can't use this joke because I just used it.

Has it been 60 days already?  Time to change the comic contest, then.

When four_legged_tripod posted the very first entry, I thought, "Man, that's pretty good.  That could win the whole thing."  And so it did!  This inventive comic held the top spot all the way through.

You're up, FLT!

Now, allow me to be serious for a minute.  Your Stripcreator password is not secure.  Don't use it for anything else.  This is of course a good security practice for any password, but it's especially important here.  Your communications with stripcreator.com use the regular HTTP protocol, instead of HTTPS, under which all traffic is encrypted.  Anyone who could eavesdrop on your connection with stripcreator.com would not have to do any extra work to figure out what your password is.  You just have to accept that risk if you want to keep using the site, but you can minimize any additional risk by ensuring that your password is unique.

Well thank you d, not only for the nod, but also for letting us know how unsecure (and insecure) we really are.  New contest up soon.

I would have posted a funnier comic, but I forgot how to unlock it.
