What would a Stripcreator app do that visiting Stripcreator in your phone's browser couldn't?

I'm not volunteering to develop it either way; I don't even own a smartphone.

Odds are reasonable that a Stripcreator app wouldn’t pass Apple review based on all the user content. It might also get kicked off Google Play, though you at least can sideload on Android.

Not saying it’s a certainty, just that the big players clearly want to make the internet a squeaky clean place.

Also, I think the horizontal strip format isn’t a good fit in the phone internet era. A site like this one would need to allow for vertical layouts to really take advantage of modern hardware.

Sadly, if you reorient a lot of old comics, the joke gets destroyed because the comic was written to take advantage of the constraints of the format.

Rather than a Stripcreator app, it would be better to redesign the site (at least the comics and "make a comic" page) to work well on phones and other small devices.  This is on my long list of things to think about trying to do someday.
