I'm glad old forums are still around.  They are my go-to places when I'm looking for essay writing services.

I've been here a while. If I saw "Brad" or someone moderating, I might donate "something".It wouldn't  be much, but I don't want my "donation"to end up unused in a box in an "Indiana Jones"style warehouse

Tit for tat, eh?  How much moderation do you want me to do?  Want to post something mean and watch me harumph about it?  Want to create a sockpuppet account and have me ban it?

I could draw some new stuff and have it added, then you can ban it!

Make sure it infringes Matt Groening's copyright in some way.

So I don't know enough about tech or the internet to understand something and I wanted to see if someone could give me a clue about something.  When I am reading text like in the forum, and a word contains the numner "one" in it, like some"one" or d"one", the word one flips upside down and then goes back to upright. If I move my curser over the word, then this box pops up and reads:

"Can you trust your perceptions? You chose this… a reminder of the forces of work in your world. If you no longer wish to peer through the looking glass, you can return to blissful ignorance." with "return to blissful ignorance" as a hyperlink.

Does anyone know what this is about?

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE does not actually show up in the box. This just added itself when I posted the last comment.

That is weird as hell, man.

Does it happen on all sites, some sites, or just one site?

Does it still happen if you use a different web browser?  What if you disable all your browser extensions?

Have you run a virus scan recently?

It seems to happen on all sites.

Only seems to happen when using firefox.

Not sure how to disable browser extentions.

I'm pretty sure I've ran a virus scan recently, but will run one again.

Type about:addons in Firefox's address bar.  Click "Extensions" if that's not where you are already.

See if there's anything in the list you don't recognize or don't want.  If there is, click the button to disable it.  If everything looks legit, then disable everything.  Close all browser windows, then re-open Firefox.

If the behavior stops, then it was an extension.  Re-enable extensions one at a time until the behavior comes back.  That'll help you figure out which extension is responsible.  If it's one that you actually want to use and you think the maintainer is legitimate, notify them of the bug.  Otherwise, remove it, and find a replacement for it if you can.

Hello Brad, and fellow denizens of Strip Creator.  Today, after a long absence (work and life, eh?), I staggered back in to do a couple more comics.  I honestly did not know if Strip Creator was still a thing, and was pleasantly surprised it is still alive.

A member of Strip Creator since January 2002, I never really got into the forums here.  I am trying to revive my own, old forums (which fell to the scourge that is social media), and thought I would finally say hello, and thank you for all your hard work in keeping things running (it isn't easy).

So, I donated, for the first time (feel guilty I never have before now).  Sadly, only a small amount, as I am currently out of work, and might never be in a job again (as I am an old bat and can retire in September).

The reason I am baring my soul is that, hopefully, anyone who is lurking, and still values forums/Strip Creator, could also donate a small amount.  I really hope you find a way to offset the costs, Brad.

Best wishes from an ex-Aussie, now living in Manchester UK.  Anyway, carry on, and sorry for the long post...cheers.

I check in from time to time and it always feels like a cozy robe of nostalgia. I feel lucky to have been active in the nascent days of the internet when it was wild and new. I donated very, very long ago. Brad, let us know if you need some dough.
