This earliest reference I've found to both Tobor and cornholing is this one by DragonXero:

13266

There are, of course, many earlier references to Red Robot, but I have found no earlier references to Tobor. Of course, I didn't take the time to do a long brute force search. What I'm curious about is who invented the character of Tobor the cornholing robot. By the time I came to this site, Tobor was already in use by several writers.

Someone seems to make a thread like this every couple of months. Maybe something should be added to the FAQ.

If you want his history, these results would be better.

just checking, but pendantic isn't a word? yet?
i met the most horrible person in the world yesterday.
he makes me so mad, when i think of him i want to stab him in the eye with a dirty fork...
i tried so hard to keep the conversation amiable, but he wouldn't have that...
and i couldn't fight back because, not only does he speak in leet or something, the only thing i could think to say back to him was "why you pissant, smirking, pendantic fuck!"
and it rarely helps win an arguement to use esoteric words that don't exist outside of an online community.

pe·dan·tic (pe-DAN-tik)
adj.
Characterized by a narrow, often ostentatious concern for book learning and formal rules: a pedantic attention to details.

I was the person who actually introduced the word to Stripcreator, AFAIK.

From "Paso's Book of Dangers":

Danger #24613: Somebody on the Internet threatening to put you in awkward sexual positions with your father or other male relative of high age.

Resolution: Laugh, but keep an eye out: You never know when the person saying that actually means what he/she says and will actually come to your house to personally put you in those awkward sexual positions.

yes i know it wasn't the full quote... i just didn't feel like saying i was going to call him the real one when i know that i wasn't going to get the quote right, if i had said it, which i wouldn't and didn't...

it's six am, and i was ripped from my slumber by early warning phonecall alerting the household of a two hour delay for my highschool bound sister. once one of the more happier things to wake me up, now that it has no bearing on me at all, besides not being able to sleep now, i'm less than thrilled or coherant. i apologise.

i wonder when i started adding that extra n... i go to dictionary.com too, and i know it wasn't there before...
bah, oh well.

i think i'm going to chug some nyquil now
g'night

I knew the word well before coming here, though I tended never to use it because even knowing the word tends to be a sure sign of pedantery.

Speaking of taking credit, your skeet comic should be props to me, and not ObiJo... Bitch. :)

I find it disturbing that JrnymnNate is threatening to put himself into awkward sexual positions with his own dad, definite multiple personality disorder coupled with repressed homosexuality and a hint of whatever the father equivalent of an Oedipus complex is.

Okay, so to answer my question, Wulfgar was the first person to call Red Robot by the name Tobor, which was in February. Boorite was the first person to use cornhole as a verb, and on April 2nd, he was the first person to have Tobor make use of the word.
