The proud team behind the ICQ spambot which is making our lives miserable right now - ICQIS Bot. This filthy little sack of digital pestilence is supposedly designed to search ICQ interest lists and message people automatically about stuff they may be interested in.
In truth, it is used to send The average male ICQ user about ten fake conversations per hour, pretending to be a real person, engaging in an unconvincing chat ("Go fuck yourself with a cactus, spambot!" "Excellent!! I like making new friends with ICQ!!!") and then flinging some porn URL or other, usually a webcam.
I have sent a threat of legal action to icqis@icqis.com stating that I do not wish to receive any more messages via their service, and as such any further contact will be harrassment (though I gave them a week to comply). I thoroughly recommend you do the same. What I find amusing about their site is that their usage policy and testimonials are contradictory.
