It's a short sound clip that's one minute long. The mp3 is a little under 1MB, so even modem users shouldn't have to wait too terribly long for it.

The object of the assignment is to tell a story within the space of one minute, and to have a change of emotions take place over the course of the scene. The instructor liked what I've done so far, but I'm trying to figure out if there is any way to improve things while I've still got some time to fiddle with it.

When I listened to all the voice files from that game, I found that there was a lot of voice acting that never made it to the final cut. A scene where the guy Richard was actually still alive when Chris and Rebecca find him (along with the single corniest "ouch" I've ever heard in my life) was there, along with a Barry Burton death scene, a place where Barry says "I think I'll just go outside and get some fresh air... AND BE EATEN BY MONSTERS!" A big Wesker monologue about Tyrant, and at least five or six others. It was surreal.

So.... how did it turn out?

Sounds pretty good to me. The sounds blend nicely.

Any way you could work this sound sample in? I think it would really add to the tension.

I couldn't play Resident Evil. The voice acting was just intolerably bad. Completely ruined the game for me.

Clark: I think I should replace the jaguar roar with that clip.

DexX: The bad voice acting is actually what made the game so much fun for me. It was like playing my very own B movie. Funny thing about the voice acting is that the american and japanese versions of the game both have the same acting. I think that explains everything.
