Please don't start new threads every time you feel like posting comics. It is annoying.

Some of her new ones are good, though. It appears I grossly overestimated when the funniness would start by a factor of ten.

say, these are getting really funny. way to go. and your brother's not half-bad either--although i already told him so in his thread. i really liked the line "what the hell, it's saskatoon." i've never been to saskatoon, mind you, but i see what you're saying with crystalline clarity.

may i suggest that you drop the bulky series title from the title of each individual strip, and instead put a note in your profile that many of your comics are set in "canadian harlem"? you already have something close to that. this simple step will not only make the strip titles scan better, but also free you to set strips in other places--or write context-free strips. as a matter of fact, you could even write comics using other rules entirely... dare i say, competition rules?

you know what? i posted that having read just the strips in this thread. now i've read the rest and found them to be really excellent. great job! i'll bet all you ever wanted in life was to be part of my faves list...

actually, i've just remembered my point. i really like the stream-of-consciousness approach you take--several comics in a row with a simple (and not always really funny) punchline, like you're looking for a great comic but you're going through drafts. the cumulative effect is wonderful. i'm not sure why i'm so effusive, but i really haven't had this much of a rush since i first got on the site and read all of DH-01's stuff (except maybe when kaufman posted "The Fab 60").

(:

ps. i realize now that i'm retarded for suggesting that you write context-free strips, since you've already been doing that, but having "canadian harlem" in every title is still kinda off-putting.

Thanks for all the good words, il_schmucko! And I took your suggestion to change the blurb about the strip. I'm going to decide to keep the long title, however, because I like to save these as jpgs and either post the occasional strip on my online journal or print it and past it on the fridge. It helps those who are not viewing it at the stripcreator site if they see the title of the series right there. *shrug*

Oh! Well, as it happens, I've never even laid eyes upon the first few decades of MAD! I've read a bit of it, but not a lot. (You'd think a Discordian would be better versed, eh?)

LOL-- you may want to think carefully about that! Although I do know a few other discordians out here (not to mention those that I've converted-- MUAHAHAHA!!!)

Great comic strip! *swallows a whole mandarin to show her appreciation* I should tell you sometime about my theory of life and how it relates to oranges!
