I love the guys who think there are different levels of geekdom, funny thing is only geeks see that there are different levels. The rest of humanity just blows the whole group off togeather. Remember, kangaroos are quite mundane around here (you can see them hopping around in the dusty main street of Sydney) while roleplaying games always involve an element of fantasy. For example, you could play a character called Gabe who actually has a sex life - pure fantasy.
