thealiasmen November 10, 2002 5:41 PM	Just a thought.... It would be fairly easy to display the latest comic strip or a random comic strip on the homepage. This would add a little more spice to the text-only design.

evil_d November 10, 2002 7:19 PM	The homepage actually used to display a random strip until a couple of months ago. I personally prefer the new design, especially since you can still get a random strip from /random.php. If enough people preferred seeing a random strip on the homepage, one possibility would be letting them set that preference in their cookie.

As evil_d pointed out, there was a random comic on the front page for the first year and a half or so. I'd still be up for putting one on there, but the comics themselves are kind of huge and it's difficult to get any other information on the screen.
