You can run Perl scripts for free on freeshell.org. I don't know about SSI. The problems with freeshell.org, though, are two: first, while they're certainly up more than they're down, they go down frequently enough that you really can't depend on them for anything terribly important. And second, while the web user can run Perl, you can't, unless you pay them a fee, so you'll have to devlop and debug the scripts elsewhere, then copy them over. Oh yeah, and since you can't use FTP either, you'll have to mail them to yourself to get them there. Jeez, the more I talk about them, the worse they sound. Well, anyway, they do let you run Perl scripts for free, which is more than you can say for most places.
