It was the way they [Newman Baddiel] re-used jokes and referenced themselves that made it so fucking funny. When the aliens land and the guy says he is M.Khan, and they go " Cheerio!" Laughed till half-term! Thems were days...

Any recommendations for anyone else who I should read?

I'm bored of hitting the random button and getting a comic which is just a projection of the authors pathetic love life. Or some weird shite about graviton generators.

That's what favorites lists are for. Find someone you like, then read the people they like. It's not a wholly accurate method, but it probably beats hitting the random button. Although I will say that if you stick with the random method for long enough, you'll probably find a few gems who you'd never have found any other way.

As for your comics, I've only read a few so far, but they seem good.

I have only been using SC for a month and a lot of my stuff is throwaway gash. But it makes me laugh. Hopefully in future it will make other people laugh :-)

Any favourites I've got on my list has been through trawling through the reams of 2 or 3 comic jerks-who-don't-come-bACK. and finding the good 'uns - more often the links are good when you find a good author.
