Here's one more reason for me to feel "out of the loop". Apparently there's some big deal reality-based television show about a guy pretending to be rich and a cadre of gold-digging harlots competing for his hand in marriage (I'm getting a little choked up here). What they don't know is, the guy works in construction and only makes about 20 grand a year. Hardy har.

On the face of it, this sounds like an execrable excuse for entertainment. So naturally I'm ripping it off for this comic contest! I want one of your characters to present him or herself as something they isn't. It could be to obtain a promotion, the presidency, a rimjob, or whatever. But since cheaters never prosper, I want the victim(s) of the deception to
see through it. Just give me an example of the world's worst liar, and you can't go wrong.

New comics only. You have until Saturday mid-afternoon SCT. Get out the hip-waders and start shoveling it!

This competition's in the bag... as long as the links to the other comics strangely malfunction and no one elses posts any comics.

I agree that The Governor's strip (#118635 above) is brilliant. It should win this competition easily.
Still, here's my humble offering...

Also, The Governor's strip inspired me to create this:

Hope you like it, guv. Course, it only makes sense if you've seen or heard of "Fight Club."

yes, it's a cheap shot. but its true. and the irony is, if he meant it, he'll never see this, thus proving I'm correct in my supposition that it was a ploy.

Not that this entry will win but my mother always said "The best way not to win is not to enter" and I intend to prove that a scurrilous lie in itself.

Besides, naz_ghul's "Self-Referential Syntax" one was GENIUS and would get my immediate 1st place award, were I the judge :)
