Okay, if you want to be in the second SC CD swap, send your mailing address as well as your username and email address to:

cdswap@stripcreator.com

The deadline to have your address in is the 27th -- next Thursday. I'll hopefully mail out the groups on the 1st of March which will give you until April 1st to mail off your mix cds to everyone in your group.

There will be 5 people to a group this time around. First come first serve.

People who were in the last swap but didn't mail out their cds will not be allowed to participate in this one.

Brad February 25, 2003 7:31 AM	You late guys are fine. The only person (I think) that fully welched is jools. I finally got around to sending out confirmations today. We've only got ten people including me, which is a little weak. I put a notice on the top of General Discussions today to try to drum up a little interest. I may extend the sign-up deadline to get a larger bunch of people, I'm not sure yet.

I can't be bothered to wait for the group listings to be distributed so I'll ask here:

Is there anything anyone won't bother to play if they receive it (i.e. if you hate classical/drum and bass/college rock/techno/etc say so)

Also I was going to put some stuff on which is fairly mainstream over in the UK so if you have heard of the following and think it best I don't bother then say so: Royksopp. Travis. That's all.

Looking forward to this but I imagine my artwork is going to be singularly crappy.

bunnerabb March 7, 2003 6:24 PM	I like hit songs. Most of them. A lot of them just stand to reflect the horrid tastes prevailing in the genre of cookie cutter pop, but... On the whole: if it's tasty, just a wee bit formulaic, and you can't help but play air drums to it and tap your feet and sing along on the chorus, I probably want a copy of it.

incidentally, how much music can you fit on a standard CD? At the minute I'm looking at about 50 tracks I wanna put on - is this unrealistic unless they're all less than 30 seconds long?

Y'know for a guy with a Masters degree in Computer Science I know sweet F all about computers sometimes...

Yes. You've got about 74 minutes of space, 80 if you buy the newer CDs that might cause problems for people who are still running DOS 2.0 or something. I don't think I saw any CDs from the first swap with more than 21 tracks. That's why so many of us are doing it again. :)

A few of them were punk songs, which were a bit shorter than most other songs, and I cut out a couple of selections I liked that were just a bit too long.
