Guys,

10 more comics that could only come from the mind of someone completely addled. All your favorite hits, beginning with The Latter Day Christ Luv Players in a stirring rendition of a Hunter Thompson classic and closing with the whole innapropriate, certainly degenerate, and probably illegal "Dumbo vs Osama."

Read them. It's like taking LSD without licking anything:

You have too many comics for me to read them all, so taking your advice (I think) I read about 10 at random. They weren't so good. They seem to try to substitute randomness for punchlines. "Dumbo v.s. Osama" was one of those. Also not so good.

No actually I meant for you to start and work your way up. It's kinda a specious commentary to start off with "Oh you have too MANY comics!" But whatever.

Sorry you didn't think they were funny. Can't please everyone.

My mentioning you have too many comics wasn't commentary, it was my excuse for not reading all your comics. It's certainly not a fault to have too many comics -- unless you're boinky33.

I do commend you on your attitude, though. So many times I've read comics I don't like so much and when I mention this, I get rants and riots. I might not like your work so much, but I wish we had more strippers like you on the site, anyway.

Well, I just want to chime in and say that I think Riotmoon's comics are very funny. They never fail to make me laugh. I especially enjoyed the fact that Osama Bin Laden spoke like the Hulk for no discernible reason.

Good stuff, man. Keep it up.

Do you actually know Japanese, or are you one of those dorks who goes around posting stuff from his limited array of vaguely understood, out-of-context foriegn words to try to sound cool?

I'm just curious.

I've always been a Riotmoon fan, though I haven't always been willing to admit it. His comics tend to be rough around the edges, but I think his concepts are solid. They're often random but it's not a stupid randomness like so many other people do. I don't know how to explain. LDCLP and Time Biscuit Man are consistently pretty good. There should be a Time Biscuit Man and Retroactive Man crossover. And yes, his ability to take criticism in stride should be emulated by all.

Good batch, RM. Keep it up.

Holy crap! Retroactive Man and Potential Lad may be the funniest shit ever to grace this web site.

Who are you talking to here? If you mean me - yes, I know some Japanese. Not enough to say that I can speak it, but I know a little bit. I've studied it as a hobby for a few years. It comes from watching far too many Japanese monster movies and superhero shows.

Doesn't mean I'm not a dork though.

Or if you don't have a Japanese font:

kore yomereba, "sukoshi nihongo wakaru" tte yutte mo ii kedo, mata-ha omae ha boku no sakki yutta "dork" shika nai ze.

Babelfish is cheating. ;>

I actually do have Japanese language software, but it's apparently not compatible with yours. All I get is a charming string of meaningless symbols. Which is too bad, because I am certain I can't translate it without the actual text (I probably couldn't anyway, but Romanized Japanese is doubly hard because the kanji are what give the meaning). And honestly, Babelfish pretty much sucks with Japanese. A far better translator for Japanese is the Excite Online Text Translator http://www.excite.co.jp/world/text.
Anyway, now that I have bored and/or confused everybody, here are my guesses at your meanings :

*"kore" = "This"
*"Yomereba" = "read" (conditional tense, ie, "if you can read")
*sukoshi" = "a little"
*nihongo" = "Japanese (language)"
*wakatte" (not "Wakaru" & "tte")= "understanding" (verb)
*"mata wa"(see note below) = "or"
*"omae" = "you"
*"boku" = "me"
*"shika" = "scold"
*"nai" = a suffix denoting "not" or a negative

The rest is lost on me. Not sure if this is because of my ignorance or if you are not reading all of it correctly.
Based on what I deciphered, this could mean :

1)If you can read and understand this little bit of Japanese, I won't call you a dork. (at least partially, since I am missing some of it)
2)same beginning, except you and I ARE dorks (I am sure many people are voting for this one regardless).
3)the actual Ultimate Question Of Life, The Universe, And Everything.

Yeah, let's keep this thread alive with meaningless posts! Thank you for playing and have a good night!

NOTE : Oh yes, "wa". This is a particle and is written with the hiragana (phonetic Japanese) "ha". However, it is PRONOUNCED "wa". Why? Damned if I know. Now I am going to slink back into the corner with my geekiness.

Uhm, thanks. It's not really something I work at, tho I should. Basically I just go into some kinda Zen trance and let the weirdness flow.

I wish I could write stuff as brilliant as Retroactive Man and Potential Lad. THAT'S true surrelaist humour, and I'm a huge fan. The only impediment is that Time Biscut Man and Retroactive Man use the same icon and I don't have little arrow that says "sheepfucker" for Time Biscut Man.

Thanks and thanks again. Tho I confess, I wish I'd thought of TableTopFetus' "Ric Flair's Chicken" character. Funny stuff. Hope he does more with it.

Glad you like it. There's a chance that I'll get off my ass and write some more sometime this century. But it's been in the planning stages for months.

Hell, that would be part of the point.
