I've been stripping (in the words of Opus) here for some time now, and I've yet to come across anyone else with a sense of continuity in their strips. Please, tell me I'm wrong, I do so hate being innovative or anything. I just want to find other like minded artisticaly challenged strippers who, like myself, are banging out good product day after day and feeling all alone and shit.

Continuity? We don't need no stinkin' continuity!

But I'm kind of confused as to what you're seeking. If you mean continuity as in a series, those are floating around. If you mean continuity as in making some kind of story that goes from comic 1 to comic n, well, you'll probably find much less of those.

That's my favorite one. Also, the one with Kajun's character talking to "Spudboy". Don't ask me why.

You're kidding, right? No continuity? I think there's too much. Off the top of my head: Scyess, andydougan, Eradream, chaobell, Chaly, callie_chan, BDD.

... gin, AnonymousGreenTea, agnt_M, hudisfunny, Illusionist/Kolle, RingMasterFrodo, MagusMachine ... depending on your definition of "continuity", one or more of these people should meet it. And try the folks on their favorites lists too.

Also,

exactly what is the difference between those two things?

I don’t treat my account here as a “proper” strip per-say (ie using the same chars over and over or a theme or whatever), as I prefer to experiment and see what comes of it, but I have considered starting another account to do what you're doing, I just haven’t had that creative spark or inclination yet to do so, besides Id find it difficult to fit "My anus is bleeding, Mengigo" into the strip and still maintain my artistic integrity.

Well, when I say "from comic 1 to comic n," I mean making one big ol' neverending series from your very first comic all the way to whatever your count is up to.

So really, I guess the real difference is that I meant a series that hasn't ended yet.

I'd say that just because someone writes all their strips in a serial style doesn't automatically make their work a higher quality than people whose strips head off in whatever direction the author's brain takes them. Some of the greatest comic moments on this site were just one-shot strips with no backstory to them.

I won't deny that it's impressive to take a single theme and run with it for dozens of strips and maintain a high level of humor, but in the end, the quality of the author speaks more clearly than whether they write serials or not.

I liked your strips, by the way... until I got to the point where I realized that you were playing off of Donnie Darko, at which point I stopped reading them. It's a movie which I have not yet seen and don't want spoiled too horribly before I finally do see it.

I tend to do the odd bunch of strips that have a theme running through them. I wouldn't call them "series" though, cause I tend to get bored.

But this series had like 40 strips, which I did one after another for about three hours, and I think it came out pretty good.
