umf's already mentioned how the whole Pepsi-Twist bit isn't working. I would also like to add that the narration is unnecessary. This isn't a writing contest-- use ONLY as many words as you need to get the point across.
I only looked at the one comic that you showed, so maybe you don't have as much excess narration as I think.
