First off, I love this place.

Now onto the suggestion...

I would like to be able to sort or group my comics. Having like a "Comic Book" feture would be cool. In this feature you would be able to drop your comics into little groups and re-arange 'em how you saw fit. I know this is a "free" site and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ad free-ness of it all. (That reminds me... IM GONA DONATE AGAIN!) This is the only suggestion I have... 'Cept more content. :P

Actually, as far as I know, the idea has been considered. But you have to understand that this site is completely run by one man who has like a whole shit load of other commitments, and as an avid procrastinator myself, I know how hard it is to focus your mind on doing something that isn't particularly urgent.

I suggest you donate and maybe e-mail brad (brad@stripcreator.com) about your suggestion. In the meantime go to in4mador and find some cool sites to help pass the time, also, download some music to listen to while you surf this glorious web.

Oh, I realize Mr. Brad is a busy guy, and I have donated... I've even just emailed content! But why have a sugestion page if offering suggestions ends up getting someone banished? WHY? I ASK YOU. WHY?!

I actually would very much like to do this idea but I still haven't thought of a decent way to allow users to reorganize and group their strips. Every system I think of seems too cumbersome and annoying. If it's too complicated, only a handful of users will use it and as such it's not really worth implementing in my opinion.

It's mostly a UI problem. Rearranging possibly hundreds of comic strips into groups is kind of a tricky task. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

What are the rules on Stripcreator?

1. Fights and antagonistic messages go in the Fights Go Here forum.

2. Don't cause me to receive complaints about your account.

3. Give boinky33 ten bucks.

Mmm. Well maybe just a sort thing. For an idea on how, go look at net-flix. They have this easy queue thing where you can add Cds you want sent to you. You can then re-arrange the order in which they are sent. On the Re-Order page it lists a number next to all the titles. You can then edit those numbers (Ie: Switch 1 and 9 so when you hit done (or whatever) it swaps the position of those titles). If you can reorder your comics I think that would be enough. Maybe insert a splash page as a "separator" between sets or something.

Anyway, thanks for listening and keep up the insanley outstanding work.

Ok brad! I'll try again:

When making new comics you type in a name for the group they go into, the default is "general", where all general comics go.

Next, when selecting comics on a user's comic page, there would be two bars, the normal bar listing all comics by date, and one listing ONLY the group names (no comics).

If a group is selected, then it would reload the page with a different name say,
http://www.stripcreator.com/view.php?author=Kaddar&group=general

Then, all comics in the date bar would be filtered out except those in the group selected. When a group is selected, it always moves to the first comic in the group. Or this could be an option first/last comic in group in the user's profile.

Now, for reorganizing old comics, you could make a new page in which all comics along with # order they were created. My first comic is #1, not it's real comic number. (When I delete a comic numbers would be reordered). This list could appear on the left column. On the right column, there would be two text input boxes:
Box one: input numbers, seperated by commas
Box two: input group name it goes into

As you can see, this could be used to add one comic to multiple groups, if brad so desired to add this option.
