Correct me if i'm wrong. (LIKE I'M USALY AM)The rules say you can start a new type of competition you don't need to win so if I make a new type I can make a contest, right? If so I can think of a new type and make a contest!

Well, if you come up with a new type of contest (one that differs from the usual Comic Contest), something like the Comic Cup, the Tag-Team Cup of the Mystery Cup.

Maybe something like a Comic League or a Knockout Deathmatch Comic Tournament, then yes, by all means, put in the effort of setting the thing up and maintaining it until it finally ends (you may want to check out the last Tag-Team cup before doing so).

However, if you've just thought of some cool rules for a new contest, then chances are no-one is going to enter because you haven't won the preceeding CC.

Also, to ensure people will actually enter, you might want to consider discussing the proposed contest to see if people are interested before simply posting it, thinking you're the greatest genius who ever lived. You see, people like to be introduced to things gradually. If you have a great idea for a comic contest, and are willing to maintain it, bounce the idea off a few patrons of this site (using #sc would be a good place to try this). However, by no means, again, should you simply start a contest without knowing people would want to enter. Oops, too late. Well, had you waited for responses to this thread before beginning the one containing your contest, this could have all been avoided.
