This is the city of Megakyoto, Indiana. It is the year 2180, fifty years after the end of Convoluted Inexplicable Reality-Altering War II.
The world has changed. Demons, gods, and superheroes are now part of everyday life.
Damn! It's the Demon of Awkward Exposition. I'm losing my suspension of disbelief.
Don't worry. I'm sure some superhero will stop it.

Finally, some evil we can fight.
Um... Cease and desist, evil demon! Or something!
That does it. I'm too tired to fight some retarded minor superhero. I'm calling it a day.
I hate this job, Cosmic Squirrel.
But it's better than working at a fast food restaurant, right?

You know, Cosmic Squirrel, I just had a thought. Why aren't we doing a comic about the capture of Saddam just like everyone else?
How can I put this... Because this comic is supposed to be set ALMOST TWO HUNDRED YEARS IN THE DAMN FUTURE?
But what about relevance?
Who cares? There are more subtle ways of being relevant. Besides, continuity is important too.
We're too hip for continuity.

On nights like this, I can't help but think of how it all began.
It depresses the hell out of me, but at least it destracts me from that damn barking dog next door.

Hello, I'm the Stripcreator Priest. In every single strip I've ever been in, I've been portrayed as either a hypocrite or a pedophile.
But many priests are decent people. I am tired of being debased. From now on, I will seek out roles with dignity.

I'm a college freshman, I have endless homework and no social life anymore, and I'm still living with my parents.
