One week later
Hmmm. Another Under 21 cap for me, and Brighton are paying me despite not being able to play me.
A month into the two month loan.
But Hinsh, what do you mean I won't be playing again? Kitson and Zamora can't replace me. I'm here to gain first team experience.
What was I thinking of? Can I have my youth team back please!

Meanwhile, the intellectuals debate the issue.....
Surely it's not possible to win two successive championships and then become a bad team overnight. It must be that some supernatural power has cast it's shadow over Fortress Withdean.
You're right. It simply can't be possible that the appointment of a "nice guy" as manager can make the players perform badly. Brighton's form will surely turn around soon, so I'm going to give it one
....whilst down in Sussex, Hinshelwood looks for inspiration in his bag of tricks.
Oh woe is me. I must get the lads motivated to beat Watford or I'll be back working with the kids again.........and my bag of tricks appears to be empty.

Daddy, is it really possible that Brighton could win a game again soon?
Well I don't know honey, now that Steve Coppell is in charge, anything is possible.
Aaaargh. But Coppell is Palace through and through. Why would he want to go to Withdean?
We shall discover this on October 26th when Brighton go to Smellhurst.
The law of averages would not allow this losing run to continue. Sheffield United are next at Withdean so they must have most to fear oft hese new developments.

All I want for Christmas is a few more points, a few more points, yes a few more points. Sleeping would be easier with a few more points, and we could have a Merry Christmas!
Hinsch looks on as the holiday exodus continues.......
If all these players are not good enough to stay, maybe that's why we never won when I was in charge?

So, Russ, tell us what you have learned about Instructional Design.
??? WTF is that?
Well, er, it's all about designing courses with content suitable for online use which is engaging for the students and useful in a real-life environment.
Has he actually read the brief?
I googled Instructional Design and found a link to LinkedIn. Let's get out of here and see what I found.

It seems that there is something called the eLearning Guild which has a presence on LinkedIn.
This is the LinkedIn group for members of The eLearning Guild, a world-wide community of practice for e-learning professionals: designers, developers, and managers.
There I found a link to the Guild's own website so I clicked on it.

Wow, they have over 55,000 members! I wonder what they all do.
It's a community based website with lots of resources for its members. I will explore the site further in the future when I have the time.
One of the links was to The eLearning Guild's Learning Solutions e-Magazine, so let's have a look at that.
Might be more interesting than what we have discovered so far!

There's also something called "The Classrooom" which looks like another Virtual Learning Environment.
Hmm, wonder if they have a decent email system??!! Anyway, they also have a lot of academic texts if that's your thing.

Starting off an online course.
We always begin with an empty room - like this!
But socialising is important so we can make new friends. NO LURKING NOW!! Soon our online classroom will be just like a night out at the pub.
Yeah, everyone should be encouraged to contribute. Why not make it an assessed part of the course?
OMG! Look at the time! It's important to realise that time differences can cause problems too!! Adding some fun elements will keep people interested too.
