What's a democray?
It's a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation involving periodically held free elections.
Oh! Ok, so we basically have the freedom to choose our own dictator.

Ha ha! Not exactly. As a democracy, we have the freedom of speech, religion, and the freedom to vote for our leaders, which entitles us to take part in the decision making process of America.

Well, are there any negatives?
Of course! In a democracy unless we belong to the richest 1% of the population, our only alternative is to sell a significant portion of our lives to work making the already rich richer.
