Christopher Columbus has just discovered America.
Wow! This strangre new land has many places to build colonies and animals to EAT. I wonder if this land belongs to anyone?

Then Spain and Portuagal began to fight over the new found land
BRING IT ON THEN PUNKS!
Hey! We also want this land ,and we`ll stop you from taking it.
Finally in 1494 they stopped fighting and signed 'The treaty of tordesillas' which then made 'The line of demarcation'
Maybe just MAYBE we can share the land. Agreed?

Hernan Cortes and his crew of 500 sailed to the coast of Mexico in search of gold.
Im sure we shall laddy.
Do you think we shall find gold here Cortes?
In 1581 the Aztecs surrendered to Cortes`s army after a long war.
Cortes we thought you were a god but you are nothing but a murderer.
This war left 240,000 Aztecs dead and the Aztec empire in ruins.

By the 1940`s spain had claimed land throughout the Americas and divided its territory and set out provinces.
Come on people we got this province built.

The effect of eurpean rule has killed many natives died from overwork,malnation,etc the American population down to 3 million.
