This Daisy Cutters thread for instance would be a prime example. Or the abortion thread I just started in Fights Go Here. If you have an interest in political topics, which it seems many of us around here do, it would be a worthwhile forum to have, while at the same time maintaining a forum (general discussion) whose topics can range from animal dildos to Glaswegian jobs and anything in between.

In short, if you have a topic coming up quite often in general discussion, that's not the typical goofiness of general discussion, what harm, a separate forum?

I'm not looking for an argument either. I'm talking discussion.

When navel lint hits the numbers political topics have lately, I'll sign the petition.

Hopefully right before the wirthling Sucks forum, or gabe will never go outside again.

I love this site, and whatever Brad does with it will be fine with me. I'm simply saying that some of us in the minority of political opinion around here are starting to feel one part alienated and one part on the defensive, when all we want is two parts funny, so why not break off a separate political forum?

This doesn't belong in the Fights forum. This has been one of the most civil abortion discussions (not involving people on only one side of the issue) I've ever seen online. Good job, folks!

I quite agree with the kaufmeister there... qutie a civil discussion.

Abortion I'm pro-choice. It's gonna happen anyway no matter what. You might as well make it legal and put in a system of support for mothers thinking about abortion and safe options for them if they do indeed decide to do it. If this doesn't exist, they'll just go get a rusty coathanger and end up hurting themselves as well (although some of the zealots would argue "they deserve it"). But there should be limits on WHEN abortions can and can't be done. I also go with more of the scientific view that life does not begin until consciousness/brain function.

Bush bashing the guy deserves it. he was a daddy's boy who got bailed out by his fathers old boy network more times than you can count, (failed businesses, underage pregnant girlfriend, drunk driving, etc). He's an idiot who can only make speeches if they're written for him and teleprompted. When's the last time you heard him say something off the cuff? Sept. 11th when he said "we're gonna get those folks."? I've heard Clinton speak since then in an open forum (on PBS I think), off the cuff, and his words were more eloquent and powerful than any of W's scripted, tele-prompted speeches. His economic, social and environmental policies are jokes. But of course, that's just my opinion. :)

Place for this debate Ummmm.. well... here I guess.. This has been a very civil discussion, and that's one reason I love this forum. We can disagree but not hate each other and yell and scream. And in the end, we cna still make donkey sodomy comics together.

Sorry if this has already moved to Fights.. I was too lazy to look...
