It's the media that ruins it for me, right now, I'm so sick of having Harry Potter rammed down my throat that even though I've never so much as been in the same room as an HP book, I already hate the bespectacled little bastard.
No offense DexX, I'm sure I'll eventually see it/read it and like it, but I'm so sick of being told that I HAVE to see this film because it's going to be the highlight of my year that I've lost interest.
I agree that the best films are ones that are recommended by word of mouth, Fight Club, The Shawshank Redemption, Bladerunner. Not films that I'm told I have to see 10 months before they've even finished filming, because they're sure it's gonna end up being good, probably.
