Fraid you're way off with all of those.

Breakdown for the remaining rules:

1 rule affects the title
1 rule affects the choice of characters that may be used
3 rules affect the text boxes.

Here's what I think of the remaining rules. Rules 2, 3, and 6 are obscure, unobvious rules that one is unlikely to follow by mere chance. Although rule 9 can be followed by mere chance, there appears to be some sort of complexity to it that makes it hard to identify. Rule 10 seems to require lots of counting and advanced mathematical calculations to figure out.

On another matter, since no one guessed my name from the first clue, here is one more. This one is less obscure. It is able to stand on its own, though it also supplements the first clue.

I haven't taken part in this contest yet but after spending some time trying to figure out the remaining rules I am stumped. Which rule applies to the title? I don't see a pattern even after checking out the web link hints. What does a green bald guy named Harry Lime have do with anything. At first I thought it had to to with bald characters, but the 'obvious clue' strip doesn't have any bald characters... unless you count the baby.

Does rule 10 have something to do with the number of lines of dialog?

For everyone who still cares and hasn't taken a mad sour-grapes style fit, here's a strip for you. Fram 1 complies with rule 9. Frame 2 doesn't. The whole strip complies with rule 3. The last frame has a donkey in it.

Oh, and as for the Harry Lime clue, what film was he in?

Can't have the same people in the same pose on the same frame, you know what I mean?

Donkey Sodomy?

Something to do with that character from fightclub?

I think that rule 9 is not about this, because these two strips are exactly the same with respect to this rule, but the first one breaks rule 9, and the second one follows it.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Dave Kirsch (sometimes credited as Harry Lime) has been in four movies. I haven't seen any of them, and I have never heard of Harry Lime or Dave Kirsch.

Rule #10: Either none or all of the dialogue boxes must have an even numbers of lines.

Same rule stated differently:

Rule #10: All the dialogue boxes must have an even number of lines, or they must all have an odd number of lines.

Rule #6 may be that the strip must describe some third-person action.

But there may be something to the rule that rules out Zoe's description of her cat running away in the first strip. I will guess that the action must be performed by someone not in the strip, and it must be of a violent nature.

I can't be arsed getting into pedantic details so:

Rule 6 One character must speak in the third person
Rule 10 All dialogue boxes must contain an even number of lines.

Rule 6 One character must speak in the third person

In your first strip, "Kramer is law, you are crime," which is supposed to break this rule, Zoe speaks in the third person about her cat. I suggest that the actual rule is that "One character must speak exclusively in the third person."

quote:

Rule 10 All dialogue boxes must contain an even number of lines.

The number of lines in a dialogue box varies with the text size and font used. This is easy to confirm by changing the text size with the View menu in Internet Explorer. Also, if my computer did not have the particular font installed that it uses to display text in the dialogue boxes, it would use a different font, and this could result in a different number of lines in some boxes.

In particular, you said that "Harry Potter Reports to his Superior" came close to meeting rule 10. As it normally shows up on my computer, with the font and text size normally used, it does not come close to meeting rule 10. Four dialogue boxes have an odd number of lines, and only two have an even number.

Therefore, I believe that rule 10 has actually been "Each dialogue box must contain an even number of lines as it is normally displayed on kramer_vs_kramer's computer."
