That's the very reason that inductive and deductive reasoning are equally valid. More than that, they are two parts of the same whole - probability.

People inducing incorrectly makes induction no less valid in the same way people deducing incorrectly makes deduction no less valid. In fact, if you apply the same logic to deduction that you're using to call induction illogical, you'd be forced to call deduction illogical as well.

Sigh... That abomination was "UNIT 0003-H," an unfortunate proto-type from the human genome project.

We don't like to talk about him.

Funny thing is that the exact spelling I use, "Drexle" really was my first choice for a handle on this site, just like it is for all the sites I register on. I never spell it like the College (I hope for their sake that this wasn't one of their students), or like the local industrial plant that was subject to a disgruntled shooting spree a few years ago. However, if I were to all of a sudden start using this guy's spelling of the name, I could give a super-gothy explanation for why I chose it as opposed to the super-nerdy one I give for this spelling.
