For those of you who compete in the finish this comic competition and aren't artists, do you want more award images?

If so, post your ideas in here and I'll add the best and most relevant of them when I get free time to the folder. They don't have to be positive awards, but try and put a positive spin on them.

*Less Is More Award: Comic with the least amount of words and funniest.

Definately like a 3rd and 4th place. Like a bronze medal and I dunno... tin can or something.

Maybe even some negative awards? Or would that just be mean?

I'd love to see that scooter-riding cow atop one of the new awards. (Maybe the Less-is-More one for irony's sake.)

The most boring or old comic. (meaning something that you've seen a million times.)

The "boinky is cool and has a big thing award".

Negative awards might be cool, kind of like the 'raspberries'. But what is considered negative should be subjective. Maybe a 'stupid n00b' award, or a 'best use of stolen material' or 'Boy George award' for most blatantly homosexual material.

Ok, so thus far the ideas for positive awards are:

Less is more (funniest panel with a little text)
More is more (funniest panel with a lot of text)
Bronze medal (Overall not a bad comic)

And possible negative awards are:

-Most cliche'd
-Most glaring grammatical errors award
-Most Corny (For really really bad puns)

But I'm not so sure negative awards are a good idea, they're tempting, but kinda persuade people to not enter the next FTC in fear of getting made fun of, or create FTC grudges, where one player can't win the next FTC because he gave another player the most cliche'd award. I think tobor covers cliche's alright. The grammatical error award is probably fine because it's not something that is the host's fault if he gives it to a person.

Ok...

Another good idea might be best use of slang or something like that. The picture might be a hip hop medallion.

I think there should be an award dedicated to fuck. Like the 'Mad Rappist' award. For what? I have no idea.

The "Wangs Dongs Award" - Only Rabid would find this funny.

I plan to make them when I have free time within the next week. In two weeks, I have finals, so I'm not sure when it'll be.

They'll be in the awards directory and I'll make a post about them.

What do you guys think about awards that give other players controls over the winner's next FTC?

Like the "Best use of characters given" award, which if you are given this award, the next award competition for the FTC would allow you to give other submitters, including yourself a different set of characters and backgrounds for the same text, so people could use either given template.

Or a "award for having used the secret word first" which lets the winner of this award make new text for the second panel of the template, so that players could use either template?

(Only one of these two awards would be allowed per a competition)

I think it'd be interesting.

and the secret word award would of course be given to someone who uses a word that the host decides on prior to the competition.

How about an award made out of them cheesy cheap materials you see on QVC all the time like diamontique or goldish (I can't think of the exact names they use for these products).

Bob - You know this trophy is stunning, it's made out of pure goldish with diamontique studding.

Jim - It sure is a beauty Bob, and the wonderful thing about golding is that it weighs so much less than real gold which all you housewives will be pleased to know.

Bob - That's right Jim, you won't pull a muscle dusting underneath this thing. Why not order today and get an extra trophy absolutely free?

Jim - That's just so handy Bob, you can keep one in your house and use the other one for display in your camper home or boat.

The QVC award should go to crap cheesy badly mass-produced uninspired earnestly needy comic strips. Like mine.

I was just thinking... if anyone does a series then you could make a best series.

it's kinda impossible to do a series for the FTC competitions.

I don't think we want to complicate things with all these secret words and stuff. The charm of the FTC is that it is simple.
