This is not a fight, just rather a point, or a pattern.

Every month or so, Stripcreator gets about 2 or 3 people that are labeled "n00bs". I just noticed this with ANNOYINGxANGELS, ComicRater, and PunkkroccPrincez. They usually make things harder, and troll the site. It seems to me like a generational kind of thing. After a little while (usually two weeks or so) they realize what they've done and either get banned or leave. I guess it means little, but I just wanted to point it out.

And n00bs is still a bad term. They should be called |=4G07Z.

I don't label people as "n00bs". Either they're people I like or people I hate. It's as simple as that. It's easy to cross from like to hate, but it takes a lot of work, talent, and commitment to move from hate to like.

Of course it's bad. No word that is spelled with a zero can be considered g00d.

If I call someone a n00b, usually it's because I'm just ragging on them. But like chicka, there are people I hate and don't hate. n00bS!

The term "n00bs" and such has never worked out for me. I'm not computer savvy enough to have the right to use 1337 speak. I understand you have to at least know how to connect to the internet in order to do so. And that it helps to shorten words to "u" and "r", as well as forget capitalization and punctuation.

I prefer a Kajun staple, 'Cunting Arse-Sausages'.
And then there's 'Festering Pus Puddle', 'Vomit-inducing, Blood-flecked Shitsplatter', and finally, 'Maggot-chewing cocksucker pigrapers'.

It's not so much the term as the mentality of it that's the problem. A lot of places on the net poke a bit of fun at their newcomers but this site seems to take it very seriously, like the newbies have to be initiated à la some perverse frat-house.

Well i would have thought so too. Supposedly, it could be purely to help differentiate between traditional feminine dildos and those designed specifically for men.

The word n00b doesnt bother me, theres just so many n00bs right now! Everyday it seems like more people are coming to the site. Not that I dont want it to grow, its just like Laff said they just junk up the site and make it bad, then they leave. Thats anoying and stupid.

Okay, here's how I see it:

A newbie is someone who has just arrived to a site, and doesn't know much about the way things work, but is willing to learn, and doesn't really look to cause conflict.

A n00b on the other hand, is troll-lite. They come to the site, refuse to read FAQs, taunt and annoy the people who've been at the site for a good while (see: regs), and generally cause problems, sometimes without meaning it. They simply have little experience, too much arrogance, and probably a bad estrogen / testosterone balance to boot.

A troll, on the other hand, goes to great lengths to create negative emotions, fights, and havoc. n00bs usually share the pain of the board they're causing problems on, and aren't really trying to create them, but trolls are there specifically to create problems.

I love newbies. I dislike n00bs a bit. I hate trolls. Just because you're new doesn't mean you're a n00b.

Everyday I come on here, and when I look in the latest comics on the front page by non-donors, all I see are names that Ive never heard of. Theres soo many new people and they dont ever respond to anything really. I was new once, and I also want the site to grow, but in the past few weeks there have been soo many random people on here, theres never any of the people who were on all the time a few months ago.
