In this thread, those of us who have been around long enough to have

1. Won any kind of SC contest
2. Made 100 comics
3. Arent called MikeyG

Put forward our proposals to adopt a completely unknown SC users whos comics we stumbled across using the random feature.

Just someone we have never heard of or seen before on the forums and who thus, even if theyve been here 5 years, can still be called a "Newbie". Doesnt matter if theyre active or not, or if theyve made 10 comics or 100. Just someone that we can go check out the comics of and say "That shits pretty funny ... for a n00b"

Good. Then I adopt DIETER.

I'll probably get some flak for it, but darn it, he makes me laugh my ass off, even if his stuff is twisted and horrifically crude. ;)

What exactly are we adopting these newbies for? An outreach program? Or is it like foreign exchange? We take in these newbies in exchange for their family and friends doing household duties for us or taking care of our children?

I want a newbie of my own but they're all scared of my house because of all the cats and cobwebs. I'd like to adopt smokingmonkey. He/she/it has made me laugh recently.

I changed my mind! I found a different newbie I want to adopt. Or another one. Whichever makes me seem less like an uncaring person...

Im thinking it like, expands the community, brings new and funny users to our attention, and generally expands the enjoyment of the forums.

Alternatively, it can be seen as an outreach program to those users who are shy to the point of autism when it comes to communicating, but create works of comedy which Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy could only have dreamed of in their heyday.

I recommend someone adopt NicholasJ. He only has one comic so far, but it has a really exquisite surprise-ending use of Dog On Ball.

Someone should adopt my good buddy Captain_Shiddy, who came here, made two funny comics, then never returned again.

I have no alter-egos here. And his Dog On Ball doesn't say "Hee-Haw!!! Me get chainsaw and kill you with it!!!" like mine does.
