I lost interest in the FTC when people started to win with shitty entries. Segregating it with the rest of the "Other Comic Competitions" killed it for me.

I miss it. And I miss when it was funny.

The OCC's are only as good as the support they get. Some people don't enter them because of some notion that the CC and the boring Comics Cup are more "prestigious", which they aren't, and/or because they might accidentally brush up against a newbie in here.
