I'm not sure where I'm going with this yet I did a little series and I wanted to get some feedback, so here I am, posting and wondering what people will say about them.

If Kung Chi Fu had been active in the last year, he could have proven you can be both political and funny as opposed to some of the other voices we had around here.

Thank you for the feedback.

I have noticed I lost my fifth star sometime between posting the "DIC" cartoons, and now. This shows much promise for the series, I think.

And so:

You may have an enemy, but if the chosen weapon is funny, then you've definitely got him outgunned.

Yes, it must be humor at dawn! Ten paces, turn and make with the funnymentisms! En garde!!

Also, does anyone know why the palm tree on the desert island background is growing bowling balls?

The white girl one's got a bit of a joke, but the Clinton one's just parroting news. How's that funny?

not_Scyess

Most of these are just parroting news.

Maybe it's funny because a silly-looking bear is saying it on a desert island.

Or maybe it's just that these comics aren't funny.

Boys, I'm certainly gratified by the continued attention you give my efforts here on stripcreator, but you both seem to be having trouble "getting it".

Maybe this link will help you understand what I'm trying to do:

Editorial Cartoon information from Wikipedia.

I fully appreciate you guys don't find them funny, or as often as not, irrelevant, annoying, pinko-liberal, etc.; still, I will be continuing this minimalist editorial cartoon experiment for the forseeable future. Have fun!

I understand what you're trying to do. You don't seem to understand that you're failing to do it. If you want proficient editorial cartoons, check out the News in Brief section of The Economist.

Although I find dogma in humor annoying, there are times when it's also funny. Your comics rarely count as one of those times. They usually just throw third-grade insults at George Bush and expect everyone to like it because Bush is an easy target. Either that or you just read some headlines back and eschew the jokes entirely.

still, I will be continuing this minimalist editorial cartoon experiment for the forseeable future.
More power to you! And when I'm bored enough to read them, I will continue to point out their lousiness until they get better! Which I hope they will. But they probably won't unless you acknowledge that they suck in the first place.

Keep trying! (Or start trying.)
