Thanks to everyone except Andy for your patience. Yes, unfortunately, there is a point. My quest to host the most evil contest ever continues.

For CC67, your mission is to write a comic that appears bad on the surface, but is actually somehow funny.

What makes a comic appear bad? Take some cues from these strips. Use L3375p33k. Capitalize everything. Omit all punctuation, unless it's replacing a letter. Abbreviate wherever humanly possible. Make inside jokes and obscure references that no one else will ever get. Misspell every other word. Use six different characters and three different backgrounds. Rely on cliches like spontaneous combustion, a foul-mouthed Jesus, or pointless randomness to provide humor. Overnarrate. Stretch backgrounds. Do whatever you can think of to make it the kind of comic you wouldn't even bother to finish reading if you came across it on the front page.

If, over the course of the contest, you find more painfully bad comics on the site, post them here, so we can all be "inspired". (It would help if you clearly marked your entries, so they don't get lost. It will suffice to put the Contest number in the title or to say "this is an entry" when you post.)

What can make a seemingly bad comic funny? That's up to you. I don't care why it's funny, as long as it is. Write a strip that turns our agonized wails into hearty laughter. Your entry's likelihood of winning is a combination of how bad it looks and how hard it makes me laugh.

Multiple entries are permitted. Submit your strips within 72 hours of the time of this post. That'll be about 10:30 pm Sunday, EDT. Judging will take place within a couple of hours of that time.

Good luck, and may the best worst stripper win.

Okay, first thing's first... before you read my entry, you should look at two of my oooold comics called "Tales of Human Drama," and "Tales of Human Drama II." They're the first comic and the third comic I ever made on this site respectively... Go ahead, read them...

Done yet? Okay, now here's my entry.

explaining a joke is a sure-fire way of killing any humor it may have had... so here i go:
i tried to simultaneously make a comic about an in joke, insult people who can't get the in joke, spell like jeff k @ something awful (after reading that guy's webpage i automatically assume all leet people have the kind of brain damage you'd expect from the exploding dog character with a nail in his head), and demand people read my comics.
i couldn't think of a more current game where PK'ing was a problem... i also couldn't think of a better way to make a horrible comic. for those who never played UO, (and if everyone's played it then i'm sorry but i only beta tested it) ghosts talk jibberish unless you spend a scroll to understand them.
i'd like to apologise to anyone who's IQ has been signifigantly lowered by reading my post... i just realized the theme of the week was "horrible comics" and, well... it felt like a sign from up above, you know?

Yeah, that's a tough one. I tried using dialogue boxes for the cross, but it ended up looking really contrived.

On another note, why do so many bad strips conclude with the flame prop saying something along the lines of "ah I am on fire"?

SHIT!!!

My first attempt to make a real joke rather than just emulate stupidity, and either I or the strip creator has fucked it up... I definitely typed the punchline, so God only knows where it went. it was supposed to be "Damn, first he's early, then he misses his cue - we need a new fire prop."

(If you think I am going to do any all-caps outside a strip in this contest, get stuffed...)
