It's hard to come up with just ten, much less order them. But it was easy to remember ten without needing to look any up on IMDB, as I had to do for my least favorites. I wrote down five categories with two movies each, and then I added two more categories for several more movies. I'm too lazy to find IMDB links tonight.

Favorite movies about robots:
1. Bicentennial Man
2. A.I.

Favorite movies about convicts:
1. A Clockwork Orange
2. The Shawshank Redemption

Favorite space operas:
1. Star Wars: A New Hope
2. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

Favorite superhero movies:
1. Batman Begins
2. Spider-Man 2

Favorite romantic comedies:
1. Lucky 7
2. The Divorce of Lady X

Favorite comedies:
1. Young Einstein
2. Any Monty Python movie

Favorite cartoon movies:
1. Whisper of the Heart
2. Princess Mononoke
3. Spirited Away
4. Porco Rosso
5. Castle in the Sky
6. Only Yesterday
7. My Neighbor Totoro

Those seven are all the Studio Ghibli movies I've seen. I expect others would make the list if I had seen them.

Blues Brothers -- Got my Cheez Whiz, Boy?
Caddyshack -- Don't sell yourself short, Judge. You're a tremendous slouch.
Princess Bride -- You keep using that word...I do not think it means what you think it means.
Fight Club -- Now a question of etiquette; as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch...?
Being John Malkovich -- I piss orange.
MST3K version of Space Mutiny -- Wall mounted keyboads, it must be THE FUTURE.
The Killer -- [about a gun] Easy to pick up, hard to put down.
Amores Perros -- If you want to make God laugh... tell Him your plans.
Crash -- Mom, I can't talk to you right now, OK? I'm having sex with a white woman.
The Jerk -- I was born a poor, black child.

Ivy, whatever you do, DO NOT see any of these movies.

Blues Brothers - Both the old one and the new one are great, though I think the end of the newer one was just about getting a bunch of musician together to wank eachother.
Caddyshack - One of Bill Murray's finest moments.
Princess Bride - Some absolutely hillarious moments, and the only movie I can think of with Andre the Giant in it.
Fight Club - Looking back I guess it's a little pretentious, but that's hard to avoid when making a movie with deeper meanings. Still a good watch, and one to see more than once, you'll miss some things the first time through.
MST3K version of Space Mutiny - MST3K = Awesome. That's a period there at the end of that sentence.

Blues Brothers -- On my list. Movie channels only show Blues Brothers 2000 and all the rentals were stolen
Caddyshack -- Saw it illicitly when it hit VHS
Princess Bride -- Own it
Fight Club -- Seen it several times
Being John Malkovich -- Ditto
MST3K version of Space Mutiny -- Loved it, still prefer Cave Dwellers
The Killer -- Great movie
Amores Perros -- Haven't seen (or heard) of it
Crash -- Ditto
The Jerk -- Laughed my ass off the whole time
