To put three characters in one panel you have to use the 'blacker' background (under miscellaneous) in the middle panel and the 'black' background for the first and third. You don't actually get three in one panel, but effectively that's what you end up with.

To make the text smaler you put html tags in the dialogue boxes. I think it's just <"small"> (removing the "" first, of course).

On the one part of your question HC didn't answer: Bold tags seem to have no effect. The default looks bold already to me, and I don't think you can unbold it. I usually either use italics or caps for emphasis.

The text is default bold. If you start the text box off with a tag, it un-bolds the text.

hi

is there such a thing as you can have the dialog blank and then click on something and it will come up or save the comic and then add more to it.  just i am doing one for a spanish class and need to have blanks so the students can put answers in!!!

For blanks you can just do things like

quote:

¡Yo quiero ____ ____!

If you want to leave the whole dialog blank, you might be out of luck, since spaces are not shown.

You can go back and edit comics you make if you make a donation to the site.  More info on that and other features are in the FAQ.

quote:

¡Yo quiero ____ ____!

Those lines are the underscore character, by the way.

Also, the answer is "Taco Bell."

What you can also do is create a template of a blank comic based on one of your own using the comic number, for instance that one you made of the boy and girl in the fast food restaurant can be remade using the following link;

http://www.stripcreator.com/make.php?templateID=431369

Though Im guessing for teaching it may be best to print them out with the blanks in as this will only replicate the format not the text.
