I was wondering how to wrap my head around how much a trillion is considering that's almost the amount of the current bailout package in this current economics crisis we are currently in. I found a pretty good explanation on npr.com So I learned if you were to measure a trillion in time the breakdown would be as follows:
A million seconds = 11-1/2 days A billion seconds = 32 years A trillion seconds = 32,000 years
Also in terms of money...if you were to spend $1000 every day it would take you 2.7 million years to spend a trillion dollars.
