According to catland, there are Japanese characters in there. I don't know that I call it a bug, just what happens when you put Japanese characters in the comic strip bubbles. I thought you might like to be aware of it, Brad. That's all. Not that I'm requiring or suggesting or expecting any action. I don't know if it's fixable or worth fixing or even worth bothering about, honestly. I just thought you might like to know.

This comic has Japanese characters in the middle panel with a completely different effect:

That comic's title used to be "instructions" in Russian; but it displayed incorrectly so I changed it.  Oddly enough it would display correctly in the browser titlebar, but on the comic itself the title was an ugly strip of #4BAE9; and so on.

I might want to use foreign characters in a comic someday too, so I owe you 10% of my next paycheck to make this issue worth your time. Also, thank you for not getting a real job and giving me something to do on the internets when I am bored instead.
