If you haven't noticed already, I'm giving advertising a shot on Stripcreator. I had mentioned the possibility of this back here:

http://www.stripcreator.com/forums/showthread.php?postnum=40008&forum=7

Instead of going with a big crazy banner advertising company where I have no control, I've opted for trying out a smaller and more direct system instead, in the hopes that people will actually advertise things that would interest the Stripcreator community.

I'm still fine-tuning everything, so expect random changes. If you have any suggestions, you could post them here or e-mail me at brad@stripcreator.com. Thanks.

Brad, the "click here to learn about advertising on Stripcreator" link in the forums points to http://www.stripcreator.com/forums/advertising.php when it should point to http://www.stripcreator.com/advertising.php.

Oh, and let us know how long it takes until Gabe buys a "Wirthling sucks" banner.

You think anyone would consider buying any of my original inked drawings? I still have most of them...

I don't know... it was just a random thought. I just saw them sitting in a pile beside my PC, and wondered out loud.

Would it be possible to put two ads side by side up there? You would get more money and it would only take up blank space.

I'd buy the original nude sketches of "Scientist", Dr Pedantic.

There's a stack on one big A3 page, including the artist later known as DrP: dragon, grey, reaper, rocket, TV, fire, telephone, skeleton, bird, and elephant! :)

What a pity SC.com doesn't have a rich, eccentric patron who would pay thousands for this shit... :)

Just think though DexX, they'll be worth more when you die....a comforting thought for your wife and (in a light hearted assumption, not provoking a huge conversation) future kids.

Yep, I still have all of the forum characters on paper. I don't have anything planned for them - I just habitually keep everything I draw. Artist's egoism.

Donate them to Brad so he can ebay them to support the site, DexX.

Maybe... I wanted to know if there would be any demand first. I would hate to send a stack of my drawing history over to Brad for fundraising, only to have the whole lot go for a couple of bucks. I'd rather keep the drawings and send money.

You wouldn't be trying to get your name on the main forums page as "most recent poster" for every forum, would you?

Never assume anything is the way it should be five minutes into it going online. There's usually a pretty epic battle going on. I think it's all working properly now though.
