Thanks to Katy Hargrove for the new art that's now online in the submitted category. There's some pretty neat stuff, so check it out.

That that word is so commonly misspelled is one of the great ironies of our time. :)

Yes it was. Truthfully i was embaresed for making the "'" mistake in what I thought was a good comic. So I tried to cover it up with a joke.

The paradox of the old "This sentance contains three error's" is enough to drive a man mad...

Two lovely pieces of art which have been submitted approximately 3 dozen times and which continue to be scorned by the welcoming committee.

Maybe because they are a tad too big. Do you want them resized?

Sorry Gabe, but your images are, if you will excuse the technical jargon, utterly fucked. There are all kinds of problems with transparency, size, palette... I can't fix them, sorry. Fixing them would pretty much require a complete redraw.

Did you draw them on paper? If so, you could rescan them and send them to me to be finished. If they were drawn on PC, do you have any really big originals?

I like the characters a lot, but they are just not usable as they are. :(

The sword's kinda fucked up but I think it can be fixed.

Just for the record, I didn't know about any of the technical problems while I wasn't putting them online. Otherwise I would have had a good excuse.

Blimey. What's wrong with them? Granted, they're probably the first transparent gifs I've ever made, so that's probably a good chunk of the problem.

Don't worry - the very talented Big Evil Dan fixed them.

Have they been emailed to Brad, Dan?

Get that shit up! I need a pirate with bunji cords for arms so I can finish my "Pirates of the Caribener" series.

"Fasten the mizzen mast" and all that. :)

Brad...

If I was to colour these two, is there any chance you might allow them to be used on the site?

No, I thought not. :)

Is it just me, or is the one on the right deeply disturbing?

Reminiscent of a photo linked from here on a place called rotten.com -- I believe the discussion that ensued was of motorcycle accidents. **shudders as memories of that photo flood mind**

Yeah, the vagina mouth woman makes me want to vomit, it'll be even worse if she's coloured in.

Mr Penis-Head would be funny though.

Uh huh huh huh... he said "Deep."

By the way, I really don't like either of them. The penis head I doubt I would use very often, and the woman looks like a lovcraftian horror... Cthulhu would get jealous.

I like them. I don't know how much other people would use them, but when my comics require a torture survivor (and they will), vaginawoman would fit the bill nicely.

I've changed my mind. They'd detract from the wide-eyed, childlike feel of the site. We've got nice dinosaurs.

Somewhere in the murky depths of my booze-addled memory I seem to remember a penis-headed character being submitted before and shot down (or perhaps just going unacknowledged). Maybe it was just some Freudian dream I had.

Folks, I think it's important to remember that this is a family-oriented web site, and that it should never be a party to blatanly sexual and offensive material as those drawings. Parents of any age should be able to feel safe when their kids are on stripcreator.com, free to express their creative side in a wholesome enviornment and browse unworriedly through random strips, like this one:

68

(Incidentally, in searching for a comic offensive enough to use when I posted this little blurb, I inadvertently discovered that Cowboy Physics was the third comic on the whole site to use the word "fuck." Just a little FYI.)
