I was part of that whole "Free Kevin" movement, and now that he's out, well, I'm kind of jaded. No thank you, no on going of the organization...I feel used and worn out.
That's why I'm channeling my bitter resentment into my new movement, championing the cause to IMPRISON KEVIN!
Put him back in jail for another 8 odd years. That'll fix his wagon.
He was a hacker who did dumb shit, got caught for doing dumb shit, and then was held without due process for several years. The government didn't know how to handle hackers, so he got his consititutional rights violated... but he's also a dipshit who shouldn't have been playing with what he was playing with.
Actually, Mitnick's site did get hacked. Twice. He isn't a webmaster himself, and his hosting company uses IIS. Not fully patched up with the latest security updates, of course.

Yeah apparently it was hacked, but not publicly defaced "out of respect for Kevin." One hacker demanded a job.
There used to be a story about it on the AP wire but they took it down it looks like.
