kaufman April 15, 2003 10:18 AM | Life's a bitch. I just spent a whole weekend playtesting new games. Good ones, bad ones, novel ones, ripoffs ... But I didn't get to play the game based on this site, probably because it didn't exist.
Until now.
You're going to create it. With my help. Here's what I know so far:
Equipment: - One board
- One 6-sided die
- Play money
- Tokens for each player
- Whatever else you people add during the course of this contest
Rules: - Roll the die to determine who goes first. Highest roll goes first.
- Begin from the START square with $5.
- On your turn, roll the 6-sided die, and move ahead that many spaces on the board.
- Whenever you land on a square, do what it says.
- Whoever reaches the FINISH square first is the winner.
- Anything else that might need to be added.
Developers' Notes: - Each comic panel posted to this thread represents in sequence a square on the gameboard. Thus each comic posted will add three squares to the gameboard.
- Each panel of your comic should have in its narration box a description of what the square represents, and what a player landing there must do. The image in that panel should illustrate what's going on. Dialogue is permitted when appropriate.
- Needless to say, in-jokes are welcome.
- As hinted above, the instructions you give may require the addition of further game equipment to that listed above.
- I reserve the right to add up to three comics to this thread to add my touch to the gameboard. They will not be judged as entries.
- On Wednesday the 23rd, I will add the FINISH square, and this contest will be over. I will judge the winner based on the best individual square contributed to the gameboard.
So, without further ado, here we go!
