They seem to have started at KO Fight Club at first... Just wondering...

I don't understand the question you're trying to ask, but it sounds like you'd have more luck asking it at either Penny Arcade or Ko Fight Club.

No PA, but technically, yeah. The bench was a site made by the PA team which was like stripcreator, only you had to make your comics in paint or psp or whatever. They supplied some templates (found in the PA catagory are those templates), and people made comics.

After a while people would make entire new characters, completely new scenes/poses for the PA characters.

I forget why they shut the site down, but it used to have a slogan "open-source comics". Every (Friday?) tycho would post all the submitted strips and make comments about his favorite new strips. It was pretty cool.

You can still find "the bench" in KOFightClub... This makes me wonder, the KOFightclub start "The Bench"??

No, Russ from Ko Fight Club did not start or run The Bench, he just submitted a lot of strips to it. Yes, Tycho and Gabe from Penny Arcade founded the site and managed it for most of its lifespan. You can tell this from reading http://www.kofightclub.com/thebench.html. Sadly, The Bench is no longer in operation, and the strips at Ko Fight Club are among the few remaining traces of it.
