Okay, folks. I have an interesting idea for a comic contest. Interesting inasmuch as it's basically something I'm making up, even as I write this.
Are you ready for this? Good, because I have no idea what I'm about to type.
Okay, this is going to be like a serial comic, but less organized. Each comic has to continue the story of the last one. Each comic has to have as its title the number in the series (2, 3, 7, etc.) for reasons I will explain alter.
Who gets to post the next comic? Whoever makes one and posts it first. Once a number has been posted (say, #3) the next one has to be sequential (#4). If you made #3 but someone else posted a #3 first, too bad, you can't post it. Make another one!
You can't make and post sequential comics, such as #3 and #4, or #60 and #61 (God forbid there are that many). If you make #3, you're not allowed to enter again until #4 is posted, when you can make #5, etc.
Each comic has to continue the story, but judging will be based on how funny each comic is on its own, so every comic must be funny. If you post a comic that doesn't follow the story I will void it and you lose your chance to win the contest with any entry, because I am an asshole. If I void it before someone else posts the next in the series, it's out and that number has to be made over again. If not, then we'll just continue the story wherever it goes.
Also, there is a SECRET MYSTERY RULE which you (and maybe I) won't know until the time of judging, which is Monday (July 7) in the afternoon. If someone guesses the rule before hand they get the SECRET MYSTERY PRIZE, which is actually an all-expenses paid* date with me.
To get things started, I'm going to post the first in the series, which is (appropriately) from my Stream of Comicness series. #2 must continue this story where it leaves off.
Ready?
