Iam so hungry that I could eat the pig food. Ihave sinned against God and my father.
The older son was not happy about his brother coming home to a feast.
Father, Iam no longer able to be called your son.
You have come home! Lets celebrate. We will kill the prize calf and have a feast.
Father why are you doing this, my younger brother does not deserve this I do. I have worked for you and not spent all your money!
We have to celebrate because your brother was dead. now he is alive: he was lost now he is found!

A farmer sowing some seeds in a field.
This is going to be the best crop ever.
Some seeds fell on a path.
Oh no the birds are eating the seeds that fell on the path!
These seeds are good!
Some seeds fell on rocky ground.
Oh these seeds sprang up quickly but then they died, cause there was not enough nutrients in the soil.

Some seeds fell in thorny bushes.
These poor seeds grew up quickly but were choked by the thorns. Unfortunately they didn't get to their full potential and bear grain.
Some seeds fell on the nutrient rich soil.
These seeds came up in the good soil, grew and produced a crop, some seeds multiplied by 30, 60, or even 100 times
I guess seeds are just like people. They need to be in the right environment and surrounded by the right people and they will flourish.

At a village in Bethsaida, Galilee some people brought a blind man to Jesus and asked for him to be healed.
I beg you to heal me from my blindness.
Let us go outside of the village.
Jesus spat and touched his eyes.
Please heal me.
The man opened eyes and his eyesight was restored.
I can see clearly now! After you spat on my eyes.
Go in peace your friends faith has healed you.

A neglected teenage boy is living out on the streets of a busy city, after being abused by his parents.
I'm all alone, with nowhere to go.
A business man walks past the youth on the other side of the path, acting if he never saw the injured boy.
Please help me.
Eww, a homeless kid! Got to keep going.
A nun walks past without helping the helpless youth as well.
I'm so hungry and tired, I have nowhere to go.
Oh a poor boy. Too bad I'm on my lunch break... I'm too hungry to help.

Fr Chris Riley walks along the same busy path, sees the boy and goes to help him.

I have no where to go, can you help me?
Fr Chris Riley takes the boy to the Youth Off the Streets organisation, where he can be cared for.

No problem, we're here to help.
The Youth off the Streets help the teenage boy using a variety of different services.
Thanks very much!
We will provide you with food and a place to sleep for as long as you want...
