day 22. i got up bright and early and wroteout my list for the day.
i did a 1 hour CLE and paid $100 on the electric bill and $100 on the water billand made sure the internet bill won't be due till i get home. i have one credit card to bill to pay.
and that was all i got done today. i mean sure i showered ate took a walk sorted laundry learned about credit ratings from youtube, did the usual stuff on reddit.
i sorted out my expense records for january. still need to do feb thru july. was going to start loan arranger class today, but i have misplaced its url.
noisy guy is making too much noise for me to concentrate, although that's just an excuse.
i need to call tommy, write back to two lawyers and one airline, and do a paragraph on my book. but i'm not sure any of that will happen today.

yesterday was rough. i don't want to talk about it.
but meanwhile i paid $500 on my credit card so all my bills are caught up. and my credit score jumped which is why i made sure to pay that bill.
this morning i finished one click, the 2nd amazon book i brought to read.
emails with my sister and tommy. two or 3 more emails to send today.
gpt no more writing done; that's my main challenge, fighting writer's block.
did i ever tell you about the time i read the artist's way and started a webcomic?

this morning i was in a study in phoenix.
now i'm home in my bed. coffee and a drink.
watering my plants, seeing the same stacks of mail that were here when i left.
on the plane, $280, i finished the third book about amazon. on the bus, $5, i checked my mail and revised my resume,just to kill time.
so now it's time to make a whole new to do list since i unexpectedly have august free.
1. waste time on reddit and youtube 2. keep not writing that book.

today i slept in after being up all night from my first cup of coffee in a month. i watched nero wolfe videos, tim hutton as archie goodwin.
when i was 16 my grandmother got me a subscription to ellery queens mystery magazine for a year. nero wolfe was this fat old guy who would tend orchids and solve crimes by thinking about them,
i took a walk outside to check on my flowers and tomatoes, and went through a month of junk mail.
while archie ran around doing the legwork. so now i tend orchids, but only rarely solve crimes.
shortly i'll go shopping and drop off the recycling. i need to prioritize getting ths room cleaned up a bit. there are ants on this one stack of mail from federal court.
i'm the arbitrary aardvark. i fight crime. i'm not very good at it. crime usually wins.

i didn't get much done today. took tommy to a pawn shop for a new tv, which we are going to return. made angel hair w bacon for dinner. paid my po box rent and checked the mail.
put the recycling in the van but it was raining hard so didn't drop it off. quality time w tommy. sorted mail, figured out how to take pix on my chromebook. posted some to reddit.
looked up info on amazon warehouses back east. watched a bunch more nero wolfe episodes. revised my list. picked up trash in the yard.
tomorrow the plan is plasma, car repair, then the zoo on wednesday
i didn't call mom, do the laundry, or weed the garden. i did a new draft of my budget for the year to sort out if i need to open an ira if i go back to amazon, looks like yes.
so a quiet restfull rainy day.

i didn't get much done today, but i did some laundry, hardware store, grocery store, rented a room 2 a bum for $50 for a week, collected $200 in rent,
took in recycling. i didn't get to do plasma today because i need a physical first. paid off my chase card.
income $250, payments $100, shopping $25.
time to take a bath and check my list again. did some yard work.

thursday: so far all i've done is plasma, $55, a box of groceries, coffee and a grisham novel $7. ih ave a new internet connected tv
that i will soon ignore, because i dont do tv, but it's a new toy with some potential.

3 am sunday. i've become nocturnal this week, going to sleep around dawn. not unusual for an aardvark.
friday night i forgot to go to first friday, the monthly event for art galleries. i usually end up missing it for one reason or another.
today i forgot to go do plasma. tommy and i cleaned up the spare bedroom for a possible new tenant, but i managed tohurt my back somehow. took 3 kinds f pain pills and went to bed.
he's in one ofhis shitty moods because we might not get a stimulous check. he keeps expecting money to just fall out of the sky instead of working for it. but we did work hard today.
i sprayed for bugs yesterday and there are a few less today but it will take more spray and vigilance. tommy described us today as domestic partners. i like it.we haven't had a word for what we are,
since he's not my boyfriend but more than just a roommate.

it probably took me an hour to log in just now. last night my computer died, it won't charge anymore. new charger cable 3 weeks ago.
three walmarts today to find one that would actually sell me a computer. about $360.
tommy and i were going to go to denny's for free birthday hashbrowns but without a computer i must have driven right past it 3 times, never found it.
i turned 60 today. tommy cleaned the kitchen and we did an upstairs bedroom earlier this week. i didnt do any of my other chores today, i've been staying up all night sleeping during the day.
we got free fries at steak and shake instead. now i have to remember what tabs to reopen. had a nice talk about where we stand, which is pretty good.
now need to get ready to go to mom's, returning to the town i grew up in, while tommy holds down the fort here.

wednesday i didnt get much done except plasma.
thursday i checked my po box, paid a credit card at the bank, but the main thing was i helped tommy clean my van, first time in about 2 years.
i keep oversleeping and not taking the van to the mechanic, so i need to do that tomorrow.
so i can get on the road to mom's house. anyone live between indiana and south philly and want a socially distant visit in a few days?
i have no social circle in delaware. i might try to look up a few people i went to elementary school with, but i was a loner weirdo back then and not much has changed.
the pandemic doesn't make it any easier to meet people, but makes it more socially acceptable to be a socially distant loner.

friday, i got an oil change. the price to change the shocks and struts was too high.
the estimate from my mexican friends was less than half the price from carX, but still almost as much as i paid for the van.
saturday i was supposed to get up, do plasma, pack, and get on the road, but i havent done any of that and it's already dark.
sunday we did laundry. monday i'm still in bed.

i left indy wednesday night. got as far as somerset pa, founded circa 1790 by my ancestor captain peter ankeny.
had lunch thursday at jean bonnet's inn. founded 1782ish, it's still in business. captain peter married jean bonnet's daughter. one of the goats died since the last time i was there, but the garden's
doing nicely. got as far as newark de thursday night and slept in the library parking lot. home at mom's now.
my van was clean a few days ago and now it's full of junk i picked up along the way.

ok, i've been here a few days now, a week?, and not been making a daily comic. so i can fix that.
i stay up late at night and lie around all day not getting much done. still, today had its moments.
here's a free textbook for the free white belt training. once i get that there are more belts, up to $400 for the black belt, we'll see.
i killed some maggots that got into the trash can. i called about a screening in baltimore. i emailed tommy. i went to the post office and picked up a passport application; both mom and i need passpor
passports renewed, not that we are going anywhere. shopped at dollar store so i could ask someone where the post office was.

it's thursday. so far i paid 3 bills, credit card water bill electric bill. put the water bill on autopay. baltimore isn't calling me back.
i filled out mom's passport application and we'll take that to the post office tomorrow. i need to do another chapter in the white belt training. tesla's up $75, new all time high, as usual.
so i'm not doing much, but more than zero. maybe i'll write a page in my book tonight. took out the trash. let's see i need a bath then to unpack more clothes then make dinner.
i need to pay phone bill fill out my passport app call tommy draft a motion for nebraska. if i take a bath now, baltimore should call, that usually works. they never called.
now i have a pdf of my passport app. could try to print at fedex. ok, fedex closed at 8. the only local gay bar is closed for covid. the burner regional festival this year is cancelled.
i wrote a page in my book, a draft of a memo to the amazon warehouse boss about fixing their food waste problem.

i stayed up till dawn and wrote about 10 pages. today's adventure was we found the post office to order a new mailbox key,
and we went to the other post office to turn in her passport application, but they wouldn't see us without an appointment so we'll go back tomorrow.
the radio was saying there was a big hailstorm coming so i havent been out yet to run errands. it was just some wind and rain.
tommy's feeling lonely or just broke. our latest tenant seems to have skipped out, which suits tommy fine, so now we're hoping scotty pays his rent. i never bother scotty about it, just wait till he
feels like paying, which he usually does, so it works out.

saturday we went back to the post office turned in the passport. two loads of laundry. i slept all day. maybe that's why i'm awake at 2 am.
dinner takeout from culinaria. i went shopping, $50 in groceries, similar amount dived.
i went to fedex and printed off my passport application. i'll have to make an appointment to turn it in, because i wasn't ready this morning, also still need the photos.
i read another chapter in the white belt training. so i keep busy, but it's a simple quiet life, semiquarantined.
watched a show about elon and three little pigs with chips in their heads, and some videos with styropyro and his lazer cannons.

sunday i did almost nothing. i went around the house and replaced burned out light bulbs. none of her carers or my nephew had gotten that done. so i wasn't completely useless.
i watched two rocket launches on everydayastronaut.com. spacex and rocket labs.

i ate a bunch of the food i bought yesterday. the tofu dumplings and bitter lemon soda were good. normally i only eat free food.
i just realized i still didnt fully unpack my car from saturday's excursion.
my tesla stock split 1 to 5 so it'll open around 442 in a few hours, so i've made 5 times my money. i opened a new bank account for a $200 bonus.

today we got the new mailbox key and went through the mail. junk, 2 bills, some bank statements.
i bought a pair of jeans because somehow i forgot to pack my pants. got an eagles sweatshirt, and an electric kettle because the bath water isn't hot enough. i don't know if they turn it down when i
leave; every time i come here it's set at lukewarm. i found a local supermarket dumpster for food not bombs purposes.
i found a yoga center in claymont i might look into. and the arden fair is this weekend. i told scotty to pay his rent to tommy. i wonder if my old hare khrishna friends are still in newark.
i drove past an old girlfriend's house on the way to goodwill. i can't stop in to say hi because she'd think i'm a stalker.
so far i don't know anyone here in my old hometown. but it's not like i go out anyway. my 1 share of stock went up $275 today, crazy.

today i picked up some meds for mom at the drug store, found some donuts, the bank wouldn't cash my check, bought more light bulbs, found an abandoned warehouse, got my passport photos taken,
that was about it. just reddit and youtube since then, slept a while. had a bit of chitchat with the walgrens lady about passports and travel, it was the most conversation i'd had in a while.
i guess starbucks is open by now. maybe i'll walk over. i need to figure out which diners are open all night.

thursday night i went out for a walk and found 11 boxes of snacks, candy, and clothes.
changed the bateries in mom's radio when she couldn't get alexa to play the radio. i might have that fixed tomorrow. i've never used alexa, since it seems creepy 1984ish. but it's useful for someone
like my mom who has limited mobility. she uses a walker to get around, so i do a lot of gophering, which is fine.
i tried and failed to figure out how to add money to my schwab account, will have to call. bought a pair of jeans and some dollar tree items. could not find the marsh road diner, which has $1 toast
and $2 coffee. talked to tommy. he was able to get $100 rent out of our alcoholic hobo roommate who is acting crazy and stressing tommy out. i'm another day late in responding to the nebraska lawyer
who emailed requesting medical info for the nebraska lawsuit. watched a bad jack nicholson movie. researched amazon interview technique. so an ok day. kinda tired.

mom fell out of bed an hour ago and i was there to help her get up. it's the first time i've felt actually useful. otherwise she would have laid there until the nurses came in an hour. not too bad,
but still it makes me glad i'm here. i kinda have an amazon hiring hall thing next week. i havent checked to see if there are any lawyer temp jobs here - there might be, it's that kind of town.
i guess i need to have tommy send me my birth certificate, either that or or i go to an office on the other side of the state. which is only about 10 miles. to get paperwork to get my passport. which
i have no particular use for. someday i want to go to asia. maybe stay at a monastery in thailand.

today i did some minor chores while avoiding major ones.
i did laundry, dishes, vaccumed, changed another light bulb, took out the trash unloaded the car.
i didnt call tommy, call about studies, send that email to nebraska, or even make dinner for mom. took a bath. checked into two online bank bonuses, neither worked. it is taking 3 days for my deposit
to my broker to clear, so i missed buying an option on tesla on tuesday, the price moved back up.
one of these days i'm going to take a walk and go for coffee. not today, it was raining too hard. in delaware it rains a lot. this is the dry season and it's raining.
19 years ago 19 men won a great battle, and bush surrendered much of our freedom to them. i still fight that loss, in tiny ways, now and then.

i bought mushrooms and peanut butter and the belt for the 1955 hoover.
friday afternoon. haven't slept since yesterday. i paid my credit card, went to a diner for coffee and grits, went on an adventure to pennysylvania. found an amish market i havent been to 4 many years
on the way back i passed the graveyard my dad is buried in. it's much closer than i thought, on a road i never take that direction, just this side of the state line.
then i came home and bought an option to buy 100 shares of tesla in october. i will probably lose $1200, but i might make some money. i should have done this a year ago.
so now i have a little skin inthe game and an excuse for how often i watch the stock bounce up and down.
i did the easy stuff now i should do my harder chores. or maybe sleep.

on saturday the nurse didnt come so i gave my mom her insulin shot.
on sunday i went to the hare khrisna temple, hung out for a bit, gave them $10. they kept me fed when i was a broke college kid in the 70s.
then i went to a farmer's market in new castle, bought samosas veggies and philly lemon italian water ice. and a $10 saxophone.
today that tesla option i bought friday went up $1000. all on paper, it could still expire worthless next month. but so far my plan is working. i mailed tommy $100.
in a little while i have a phone screening for a study in baltimore, then tomorrow i go to baltimore for the full screening.

on monday the zoom interview with baltimore went fine so yesterday i went to baltimore and did the screening, went ok, i don't know yet if i'm in or not.
this is not the usual baltimore place, but the other place, where i don't usually get in, drove route 40 coming home, slower but i avoided tolls and picked up a few boxes of food at lidl.
i'm about to do this amazon online hiring event thing. kind of a long commercial for working at amazon.
they have a $1000 hiring bonus at some locations, $500 at others, none at others. i havent updated my resume yet or applied.
i made $50 for the screening, bought a sandwich at lexington market, $26.66 for gas, i stopped into a dunkin donuts long enough to check that my stock was up another $1000.
i need to clean out my van. something might have died in there.

monday the stock went up a little but somehow my option lost $300. found a nearby farmer's market with a dumpster, but they have a watchpig.
i called tommy, and i got into that $2000 study in baltimore.
mom is having auditory halucinations where she thinks there's an alarm going off, when there isn't. but mostly she's doing pretty well.
tommy sold one f my vacant lots to our hobo roommate, who is now camped out there. he should have asked first but it worked out ok.

today i drove to baltimore and back again because they wanted to do the covid swabs and blood test one more time before we check in sunday.
pointless, but i dont mind too much. i took rt 1 home. it's slower and more out of the way. the bridge over the corner of the chesapeake is shorter, but it's 2 way traffic.
i have a fear of heights when driving on narrow bridges over water, white knuckles, trying not to panic. and every trip to baltimore has it,
i just get to pick which of three bridges. i ate at a nepali restaurant $15, spent $35 to wire my broker $1000. my option went down $1800 today after battery day
yesterday's battery day was actually great news, but over the heads of many investors. tomorrow might buy more if my wired money shows up.
then i dumpster dived truffle pizza from trader joe and drove home. 160 mile round trip.

today i bought an option to buy 100 shares of tesla next month at $420 a share, for $1020. It's doubled already, so i made back the money i lost yesterday.
today i just stayed in bed and made my trade. yesterday i drove aroubnd to the broker's office, which was closed, and the bank, which was open., as well as going to the testing clinic in baltimore.
i had two make two phone calls to get all this done, as well as making sure the bank didnt just wire my money into limbo, which they tried to do.
i prefer to be able to do everything from here in bed. i dislike office visits but really hate phone calls. but i got it done.
i am late in filing something with the court and responding to a letter fromt he lawyer, so i'm at risk of my lawsuit going away if i don't get right on that.
there's a paperwork job for $18 an hour that i should probably put in a resume for. i have not done anything about applying to amazon. now i will get up. have coffee, run errands for mom.

this morning i mostly watched my stock trade bounce around, then this evening i wrote a cease and desist letter to minnesota which is trying to fine a political candidate for having signs that don't
contain some fine print that the state wanted him to put on his signs.

and i emailed copies to the reporters covering the story. other than that, i'm making $25 peer reviewing a medical study article, and i got out of the house long enough to pick up dinner and will go

this morning i drove to baltimore and checked into my study on time.
my blood pressure was high so they might send me home in the morning
if i do get in, they bumped the pay up a little. i got an ekg, physical, weight, pissed in a cup, got my blood drawn, signed my paperwork,
got 3 meals and a shower. wifi's ok, i forgot to bring headphones, 4 people on our side of a large dorm setting, 8 in thhe study.
if i dose it'll be a 1 hour injection, wearing a holter monitor, 9 blood draws, no computer all day, how will obsessively check my stocks?
hope i can get some decent sleep tonight.

day 2 was intense. i got in, just barely, then my blood pressure was too high all during the study. i had a tube in my left arm to put the drug in with, and a tube in my right for blood samples,
and 12 electrodes for the holter monitor, so my computer was turned off for that day. we had to lie flat sometimes for hours. and piss in a bottle.
day 3 was easy. a few blood draws, more ekgs, pretty relaxed. i reread a grisham novel then reddit once we got our computers back.
this morning we checked out. they won't let me come back without approval from my doctor because of the high blood pressure, which would be a hassle, except i never go to this clinic anyway.
i drove rt 40, panicing over the bridge over the bay, so i better take i-95 next time, which is monday. got a check for around $1500 today, thhe rest monday.
got a lead on 2 new places to do studies, looking into it. bought a pair of pale blue converse, $7.

i skipped a few days where not much happened. today i went back to baltimore for the end of study visit.
routine office visit. my blood pressure is still way too high...
20 mile long traffic jam coming home. 95 was shut down so i took 40. 40 was shut down so i took 7. 7 was shut down so i took some little backroad detour, which narrowed to one lane. i spent an hour
in havre de grace waiting for the traffic to clear. bought antique books.i still got stuck in a traffic jam on the bridge over the bay which is my nightmere but it wasn't as bad as if hadn't waited.
found a tv, 2 tables, lots of groceries. made it home before dark.

applied for a library card. bought donuts for mom and ordered her meds. cleaned the van some. the microwave i found works, haven't tried the tv yet.
i am putting off responding to a motion in my nebraska case. deposited a check. my stock option is down today and expires friday so i might lose that gamble. found a few more items.

ok i havent done one of these for a few weeks and i'm trying to be productive today. i called tommy finally, called about a study but didnt get in, blgged and emailed about a new political sign case,
trimmed and filed my toenails, renewed the plates on my van, shopped for mom, dove,
haven't yet paid the vet for new dog's shots, fixed my nephews tuition issue, or even started the nebraska stuff.
baby steps, one thing at a time. mostly i'm watching a 2bears i cave show that i got a free $10 ticket for.
i'll try to catch up some of the events of the past couple weeks, like when i lost $1300 on a tesla options play. i'm making it back $65 at a time doing plasma in newark. 2ce so far.
emailed my nephew, vet's line was busy. so i'm trying to be productive. i think i'll go ride my bike next.

forgot to call tennessee. i watched 'the eagle has landed', my cocaine as a nazi war hero.
i dumpster dived some mums that i should go water, and i want to buy butter before the store closes. i got 2 boxes of free groceries, but they are still out of decaf coffee.
took out the trash checked the mail, the usual routine.
oh i went back and got a bike that was left in a ravine in the woods. so another flat tire to fix.
so i should unload the bike before bed. this is all busy work while i'm avoiding the nebraska lawsuit.

friday's adventure was i went on a quest to find a lake i went to one time in 1972. i got close enough to see if but couldn't get down the cliff or past the gate. lake bellevue, kind of near my old
high school. when i was a kid i played at the creek, and if you follow the creek under 1-95 it empties into the lake then the river. there's an office building for black rock next to it.
black rock is a sinister shadow bank that i have a feud with, because their bank bought that bank that bought my bank and they turned off my $10,000 line of credit right when i needed it,
so i borrowed the money from my mom which was embarrasing. all paid back now, but it's what started the feud. i hold grudges, i'm biden my time.
saturday's adventure was took mom to buy pride and prejudice at the bookstore, 4 boxes to food not bombs, plasma in newark, then home to take mom out to a restaurant. i used my new $4
pitchfork to transplant some mullien, so i need to find some soil and finish repotting it. ran an errand, it turns out the drugstore is open all night.

today's quest was i went to wawa pennsylvania and got some wawa at the wawa.
that is to say i went to a village 10 miles from here, got some hot h2o at a convenience store/gas station.
i found a wegman's at the corner of concord pike and old baltimore pike; i didn't know they had any around here. it's a pretty good grocery store.
i got shooed away from a trader joe's dumpster just as i was snagging $100 of maple syrup. maybe i'll go back for it tonight.
otherwise another uneventful day to bore dboba with. made mom a cheese sandwhich for dinner.
my aunt mary died, my father's younger older sister. she was 100, left 14 grandkids and many greatgrandkids.

wednesday. had a zoom meeting with my support group of indiana lawyers. told them that i'm thinking about taking on a new case, about how delaware censors political signs in the way they
assured me in 2000 that they would never do. my reservations about my compentency to do a case like that, but i kinda want to.
tonight i watched a movie about the trial of the chicago seven. well done, moving, reminds me of what i went to law school for in the first place.
it was complicated and nuanced, even if it was pro-plaintiff.
other than that i cashed a check at the bank and scouted out a stash of chocolate bars i might go back for later. dunno if i can stay up long enough to go do plasma early in the morning. guess i'll go
hydrate.

this just in - actor sean connery, 90, is desheashed.
saturday so far, plasma $45, bought a computer at staples $250 with my plasma card, turned out i just needed a new power cord, good to have a backup,
7 boxes of food to food not bombs. friday i started the process of a joint bank account with tommy so can exchange funds without a western union fee.
i should try to get some tenants for the indy house. right now my only income is plasma. i stil need to send some letters about how delaware is unconstitutionally censoring political signs.
it's time to either find another study or get a job. my local amazon warehouse had no shifts open when i tried to put in last week. or i could coast like this for a few more months.

today so far i've done 3 things on my list. i sent letters to the election commissioner, opened a bank account for tommy, ups'd a box of dog food. the postagew as more than the dog food would have
cost, but i can spend some money on a new dog. the only previous time i had a dog, i sold him for $17, because i was 18 and broke and couldn't take on the responsibility of a dog.
then i turned left on 202 instead of right into the mall, and there's a national park and a river and i saw deer and horses. dunno why i never took that road before.
oh! it's the book the flying nun was based on. 15th pelican.
my quest for today is to find the 17th pelican. no luck yet. and have a possible new case in alabama about an unwarranted search of a fishing boat, if we can find local counsel.
i guess i'll take a bath, clean the van, clean the basement, make a new list.

as of late wednesday, if biden wins nevada with 6 votes, he'll have the 270 he needs, with 3 states tossups. PA SC GA. trump is trying to get to the supreme court.
it looks like the senate stays red, the house stays blue. not all results in yet.
i think trump will begin his 2024 campaign any day now.
4 states legalized weed. i can almost see jersey across the river.

today, plasma, $48, juice $1, took a crate of eggs to food not bombs at the black pirate radio station, went to vital statistics which refused to give me my birth certificate because i didnt have an
appointment which pissed me off, caught two mice in the basement, ran the dishwasher twice now that i know how it works, sorted the van,
got 2700 meaningless reddit points for crossposting a photo of a raccoon dumpster diving mcdonalds. took out the trash.
i've been staying awake trying to get some election results, no new news today.
i will go dumpsterdive acme soon, and maybe do a load of laundry,
forget if i mentioned i'll be going to wisconsin to try out for a $6500ish study which would be all of december. i don't expect to get it. maybe i'll call tommy now.

i'm about a week behind. it's 3 am wednesday. election results still not final. trouble sleeping so i'm up all night watching youtube then i sleep in the day and get nothing done.
today i didnt do much because of this sleep thing.
ran errands, got insulin for mom, did the grocery shopping i forgot to do yesterday, didn't find much in the dumpster. had 1 drink. sorted out a lost check. didn't book my flight yet or rent a car.
tommy missed my phone call and it's too late to call back although he's probably up too.
... court.
took a bath emptied the trash checked the mail ,just minimally functioning stuff.
listened to a supreme court oral argument by the institute for justice about a guy who got beat up by undercover fbi agents, the issue is can he sue. i'm 60 and my cases might never get to the supreme

friday i didnt get much done. $5 scrap run. went for a drive; i'm still rediscovering this town.
saturday i overslept and missed food not bombs. went to newark for plasma, my last one for a while, then went out for pizza with mom out near where biden lives.
some late night dumpster diving and then sleeping in on sunday. caught two more mice so that's 6 so far.
i've been here long enough that my hoarding tendencies are starting to get noticeable.
monday i stayed in, binged videos, got nothing done. my passenger side mirror came but i haven't gotten it installed yet. my van is kinda falling apart so i won't drive to wisconsin in it.
note to self: water plants today. got laundry done.
