i'm in a rented toyota somewhere near cleveland, heading towards milwaukee.
drove 12 hours after a night of no sleep. mostly back roads although i'm on the toll road now.
trunk full of groceries and dog food, i'm gonna stop and see tommy after my screening.
he dropped a hint recently that he might be rethinking his "no" when i asked him to marry me when we were in hawaii. we have a dog and a joint bank account. baby steps.
i think i can push on to the next toll plaza before crashing for the night. the hard part about studies is no coffee on the way there.
i spent an hour lost in pittsburg, tall bridges over water, i hate that. couldn't find the korean restaurant i was looking for.

this morning i climbed mount baldy at the indiana dunes state park. i'd never been. during a windstorm, so lake michigan looked like north shore hawaii. did not go swimming.
then i drove to the town where my screening tomorrow is. no cheap hotels there so i drove back to the city for a room near the airport. $54. 1000 miles so far this trip, it seemed shorter on the map.
now i need to get some sleep so i'll be rested in the morning, sleep isn't coming yet. drove through chicago, dove my favorite dumpster there.
it's about 50-50 if i get into the study or not. high blood pressure is the most likely reason to not make it.
then i'll have some coffee and head to my house in indiana on my way back east.

2000 miles. 4 days. 1 rentacar. 120 in gas. hotel $54. coffee $10. dog tax $50. PO box rent $85.
made it to indy at midnight. really good visit with tommy. my dog barked at me for 5 minutes but then we got cool. i brought him toys and food.
by noon i got on the road again. almost nonstop to delaware, 13 hours. i'm home in bed.
today, wednesday, i dropped off the rent a car, took my car to midas for a brake job and mirror install $550. car is much better. plasma $50. home. so i went from my bed in indy to my bed @wilmington.
there were 4 times on this trip where i had to go over tall bridges over water and it's affecting my driving, even regular bridges are hard now. i'll have to pick my routes more carefully.
i need to get up and unpack the car, but feel a cold coming on so i'm also trying to rest up a bit.

friday i went to newark but the plasma place was inexplicably closed so i got a haircut instead $10. and bought groceries from 3 stores.
saturday 8 boxes of food to food not bombs, did plasma $50.
bought pancake mix because mom wanted pancakes but that never happened.
sunday we went out to eat at a steakhouse. i had lentil soup and hen of the woods mushrooms.
on paper it sounds a little less action packed than it did at the time. i ran an errand and did two loads of laundry. didn't fight much crime today.

monday i did plasma for the last time this year $50. friday i got my new phone $80. what happened in between i forget.
saturday food not bombs and i went to fox point park on the delaware river. they took a superfund dump, put plastic and dirt over it, and now it's a park.
today is sunday and i'm all packed and about to head out towards wisconsin, where i got into my study. gonna stop in indy and say hi to my dog.
then wednesday will be day 1 of 22. they will probably send me home for one reason or another,
but if i finish the study i wind up with around $36k for the year, not bad for a pandemic.

yesterday at 7:32 i took two pills and was officially in the study. it was touch and go for a minute when my blood pressure high at first.
so we got our blood taken every half hour, then every hour, then every 3 hours. also several ekgs.
today is our first easy day. 2 blood draws. 4 meals. the toughest part of this study is we have to eat everything, and i don't have teeth.
i'm a strict vegetarian except when i'm being paid not to be. it's gross, but money is money.
so far just watching videos and reddit, instead of any useful work.

life is strange here in the pandemic. i may win this comic competition by default, everyone else seems to be gone.
i'm in an institution, getting paid $300 a day in desperate searches for new drugs.
there are other subjects here but what with social distancing we mostly don't talk. tommy and i emailed one time and i should call mom, but otherwise i don't talk to anyone except on reddit.
so aside from wearing a mask all day, everything's just like it was before.

didn't get much done today. we didnt even have a blood draw, just 4 meals. i roughed out my taxes. i will owe $1600 in fica, and my withheld income tax is enough to cover income tax.
gross income of 40k, $15k in imputed travel expenses, and i can claim tommy as a dependent. so i'll basically just return the stimulus check.
i have a pile of homework here on the bed, letters to go through, including some about the nebraska lawsuit i've been avoiding because it's stressful.
it's strange how i've made way more money than usual in the middle of a pandemic. tomorrow is another easy day then thursday we take another pill.

day 8 of 22. today i took 3 pills, had three ekg's, got my blood drawn every half hour, then every hour, now it's every 3 hours.
had one brief mild side effect i won't detail here.
didn't get much else done. did a first draft of a note to the california lawyer. i wanted to sleep on it before sending.
read some of today's 4 supreme court cases. reddit and videos. went through my emails. zero progress on my nebraska lawsuit which may already be too late. tesla gained back some of what it lost
yesterday when elon sold 5 billion. i sorted out one of my bank accounts. i remembered an extra $1000 in income i need to add to my tax estimate. maybe i'll open an ira and stash some money there.
started a new heinlein novel that he wrote in 1939 that was found in a suitcase after he died.

day 11 of 22. halfway! didn't do anything today. 3 laps, 4 meals. got a check for $2855, a down payment on the 6500 and something.
i might get my pay docked a little because i can't eat the apples. this is an easy study but we are supposed to eat everything.
yesterday i met a guy who knew about me because of a forum i moderate. we were comparing notes on study places and he wanted to know why i can't go to abbvie,
so i told the story of how they put a tube down my nose into my intestines, and it hurt, and i told them so on the evaluation form, and they banned me.
that rang a bell with him so he recognized me as vark from the jalr forum. i think of myself as pretty obscure. i've never met anyone who knows me from stripcreator.
there are some good guys here on the study but i keep to myself and don't talk.

thursday we took our third and final pill, got 3 ekgs, got about 8 to 10 blood draws. it went smoothly.
friday and saturday were routine. i got no work done. i signed up for a low pay but interesting study for february.
today's sunday so i'll be doing laundry, making a couple phone calls, and i need to remember to order the car tire inflator gadget.
we get out on wednesday by noon, and i'll go visit jake, then head to indiana. it's a white christmas, we are far enough north last week's snow hasn't melted.

wakeup call at 330 am, blood urine ekg blood pressure physical bag search release. i just realized i still have my armband on.
i walked to a gas station to buy fix a flat and put air in my flat tire, which worked. $12, $50 gas $2 coffee.
i drove up past oshcosh and lake winebago and visited jake and ron on their 28 acre junkyard. i loved it of course.
saw two pheasants and two deer. got home to my bed at 1 am.
walkd the dog for a mile with tommy in the rain, and we dumpster dove 3 mattresses.

i was walking back to the car with the fix a flat and some guy stops and says

i said, don't try to give me money. he was confused and said why not?
i said "I have $5000 in my pocket. i'm good." this was true because we had just gotten paid. i dumpster dived a beer, which i have now drank, and a load of firewood for jake.
in oshkosh i found jake 12 rolls of tp and a bag of groceries. they gave me a bike to bring back to brian, and gave me a fun tour of their junkyard.
the second time today some guy offered me money i just said no thanks. wisconsonites are oddly friendly and helpful, it's almost creepy.

i'm back in indy for a day before i get back on the road tomorrow. i did the usual post office bank shopping run. my new credit card wasn't there yet so i might miss the $200 bonus.
but i put the $5000 in the bank, paid off my credit card, got a pocket full of $2 bills. oh yeah last night we took the dog for a walk in the rain for a mile.
i'm going to take heather, one of my hobo roommates, to cleveland tomorrow. it's onl;y about 150 miles out of my way. she's a friend of scotty, who pays $100/mo to use this place as his address while
he actually lives in a tent and trailer on one of my vacant lots that tommy sold him. i went out and looked at it today, he's done a great job of fixing it up.
one of my non-hobo former roommates, john malfa, just came by and we spent an hour catching up. my family is going to zoom tomorrow noonish then i will get on the road, that's the plan.
i gave tommy his xmas present of canvases and paints, and he got poseidon some dog toys. my xmas present to my siblings was to let them know of funds their state is holding for them, see details below

it's been a week, or a year, since i've made a comic. took heather to cleveland to her family while she talked to herself like a crazy person. they are already tired of her, not our problem.
drove through snow for a day made it home. nice visit with my sister and her boyfriend. boyfriend's son is now vegan, i tok him n his first vegetarian dinner a few years ago so maybe i had some small
impact. it's a new yeaer and my annual and decade reports are late as usual. my karma is over 100,000 finally.
today i did food not bombs, dumpster dived, thrift store, $6, sent tommy his monthly allowance, dinner for mom $30, helped her with her taxes, did laundry, annual chat with my brother.
no progress on my lawsuit, which has likely been dismissed by now. need to fix my car, power steering is out and one door sticks.
no job, no pressure, i just internet all day. planted a tray of hemp seeds, found new houseplants and a 12 inch lodge cast iron skillet.

i didnt get out of bed today but my share of tesla went up $350 as elon became the world's richest man. sent tommy $50 because he already blew thru his january allowance.
yesterday plasma, dove 8 loaves of bread 2 bottles of wine a gross of christmas cookies.
emailed my ex on her birthday but i dont expect to hear back. took a a bath gonna put my shoes on and take out the trash. watched season 3 of sneaky pete on amazon.
my ears are still stopped up from wearing earbuds in the study. drops didnt help. if it doesn't clear up i'll go to a minute clinic and get my ears washed out with a water pic.
i should figure out my to do list for today or i won't get anything done.

my stock went up $450 today and the one i bought went down $5. gas $23.

i need to do a bit more sorting to be ready for food not bombs tomorrow. i will have scrapple for dinner, an east coast delicacy.

my stocks went back down $500 today after being way up last week, still up for the month. i bought one share of something to remind me to buy more later after some research.
i haven't made a list, so i probably won't get much done tomorrow. i should clean my car and find a mechanic. and check my fluids and belts in case that's why the power steering went out.

my life here is fairly simple. like tomorrow is thursday so it's trash day. i'm learning to drink tea - lady grey.

i paid two of my credit cards, and bought $1000 more stock. i guess i didnt get much else done.
friday i took mom to the eye doctor, did plasma $51, got a haircut $10, bought mom's eye medicine, made pancakes for dinner, found $30 of chocolate, bought and sold 1 share of tesla
in order to move money between accounts. accidentally made $4 on the deal. 400 reddit points today. did laundry. talked to tommy. went to an estate sale. $500 check for expense reimbursements.
next up i'll go wash my hair, put away laundry, maybe read the instructions for the broken stair lift.

thursday got my bank to credit me $105 re hidden fees they tried to sneak in, paid the internet bill for 4 more months. sent stewart & stewart a notice that they have $575 funds at indiana unclaimed.
i only have $27 there right now, i'll wait till there's more to redeem it. i'm going to try to handle some small tasks like that today that i've been putting off, in order to put off a larger task
i'm avoiding. next up i'll look up how much is left on my plasma card. ok $194. that was a hassle. $1.50 in fees i won't bother to dispute but i'm annoyed by.
i guess next i should go through my to do list blog and make a list.

today i got my van door fixed so i could take mom to the dentist, took mom to the dentist, took her home and made her a cheese sandwich, then went and did plasma $51.
i sent away online for my birth certificate, $38, after sending for it in the mail didnt work. it's part of the long drawn out saga of not being able to get a passport.
it was 60 F today and felt hot. i called key bank about a credit card, called a study place in nj, emailed a study place in philly. they were supposed to have an $800 study for me this month but it
looks like i'm stood up. i made a list. i skipped my lawyer zoom meeting. i didnt get gas, or start the memo. found a few boxes of stuff.
tomorrow i want to go to PA and buy vacuum cleaner bags. i'm bingewatching season two of "white collar."
mom's dentist is next to a charity to gives grants to catholic programs. maybe i should write a grant for indy's catholic worker house.

today is tuesday. i turned in my passport application $160. just had time to notarize an affidavit. lost my photo somewhere so they took another. i looked like a derilect. opened a credit card that
will net me a $100 bonus. checked account balance. stayed up all night.
monday i went to the bmv to get an ID becuase my birth certificate finally came, bu they refused me, so i wrote three letters and an affidavit. it's on. this is not a lawsuit i would win, but it's a
fight worth having. today i could not get the file to print, so i did not go back for round 2 yet. groceries $8 dollar store. $1 candy store. need gas.
the elections commissioner wrote back and there's an attorney general opinion which deliberatly lies about the constitutionality of delaware's disclaimer statute.
i went to the local law school o get a copy of the controlling state case, but the school was closed so i need to email. so it's kindof like me actually being a lawyer again, in little spurts.

time and plasma gives me enough to live on. oh i bought flower seeds and supplies today $10 because it's march. so i could start some more plants.
my default rule is buy nothing, but i do like to get in a little gardening. looked at fruit trees at lowes today, did not buy. going to philly friday to screen for a medical study. doesn't pay much,
but it's interesting and i can do most of it from home. maybe i'll go to the strip club tonight but i wind up never yet going. drove by it today. i would have to hit up the atm.

on thurday i made my 3rd trip to the bmv and got another runaround, and wrote another letter.
on friday i tried to go to philadelphia for a screening but my computer ran out of juice on the way there so i didn't have the address, and never found it, so i shopped chinatown, bought foo dogs. $30
plasma +$51, gas $15, saturday 6 boxes to food not bombs, found 4 more boxes.
sunday did nothing lay around watching movies.
monday same. took out trash, bath, made dinner, 1 load laundry, planted some flower seeds, sent tommy $50, but did nothing much.
i should make a list for tuesday.

tuesday: i finished the title VI complaint, printed it, took a photo, emailed it. this is about my issues with the BMV.
i also had a slight altercation at the grocery store when they had some cheese priced wrong, so corporate got an email. groceries and dinner $50, reimbursed.
wednesday plasma +$51. the line at bmv was too long. made dinner. my package came, i bought cups and plates from our old china pattern. i'm very tired. i might have met a lawyer to work with.
sorted out stuff in garage, trash day is tomorrow. bought ant poison. vaccumed.
thursday: gas and strip club $51. friday: plasma +51, groceries $15. bought the mispriced cheese, for evidence. nice chat w the title VI lady about my ID issues.
looks like they are going to at least partially fix things. next up: help mom w her taxes. dinner. cheese email.

friday, plasma, saturday, 8 boxes to fnb, found 3 more on way home, sunday, rode a bike, found a $600 brooks brothers tux but it's not my size, also found 2 ralph lauren suits and other items, 10
dress shirts. monday, pharmacy was closed trying to buy diabetic supplies. tuesday they didnt have them, will buy online. took mom for bloodwork this morning went ok, but didn't get enough sleep so
groggy. i should call tommy. have appointment thursday for my ID the delaware election commissioner wrote back today and is determined to keep acting illegally so a lawsuit is likely.
watching some horrible british show on amazon, but it stars benedict cumberbatch.
so the plan is wake up and go do plasma. there's a few ways that could go wrong. friday mom gets her second shot. i could not get an appointment for myself today.

wednesday. plasma. thursday. bmv. still did not get my ID but good meeting. i smoked some cbd hemp.
friday. took mom for her second shot, went fine. plasma. found two pairs of jeans, etc.
saturday. stuff i took to fnb included a card table, a propane tank, 2 boxes of clothes, two bags of bread, two boxes of groceries.
stuff i found included a canopy, an electric fireplace, a toaster, a tarp, some pastries. stuff i bought included beignets, more of that cheese, groceries for mom, dinner for mom, flowering plants
from that shop a little left of marcus hook. i should look up that route instead of driving randomly. found a new dumpster across from walmart.
on my list for tonight was to start the complaint inthe delaware sign case, so i should open a trial notebook. and try calling tommy again.

sunday: not much. watched a movie, extract. talked to tommy. smoked again.
monday: little things, ran some errands. pizza, groceries, medication for mom. sorted stuff from the van into the garage.
my big accomplishment was the weights and measures guy went out and wrote up the grocery store for my cheese price dispute.
i'm not usually a narc, but i gave them 6 chances to fix it and they didn't.
i have two tasks to finish then i could smoke again or start a memo.
i head that in most langages the days of the week are named after sun moon mars mercury jupiter venus saturn

didn't get much done today. errand to get donuts. fixed dinner. took out trash and recycling. moved some flower seedlings outside.
took a box of tax documents to the accountant, and that put me on philadelphia pike so i drove around pennsylvania a little, stopped by the produce stand and found a quicker route to the walmart.
made reservations for easter online. found a bag of new toys in a dumpster, maybe $300 retail. deposited a check.
about to go smoke then maybe i'll start that memo.
i went out from 11-1, that acme is 5 miles due north if i cut through a residential neighborhood. i got 6 more boxes of food, 8 total for the day. i saw 4 deer, they must have moved in after i left in
the 1980s, never used to see deer here.

wednesday. plasma +$51. zoom meeting with lawyers. signed up for CLE class $75.
stuff i found: 60 pounds of potatoes. 8 loaves of bread. 2 boxes of misc.
it's thursday AM. aside from being trash day, i have a feeling i have something scheduled today that i'm forgetting.
first of the month so tommy gets his allowance $100 for looking after the house while i'm gone.
i should start those CLEs or a memo but i probably won't.

thursday. i didnt get much done today. got mom her insulin at the drug store. $2 coffee. 3 boxes of groceries. took out the trash.
the thrift store at the church where my dad is buried was closed, and the hemp store at the amish mall was closed, and i dived a couple of acmes.
read today's three supreme court cases and wrote about them, not that that is billable or anything. mailed a drawing of the statute of liberty to the statute of liberty museum in indy.
friday plasma +51. gas $40. cbd $30. dumpster dived 2 vaccuums, a nightstand, a bookshelf, some food.
took a one hour cle class from the lady who got judge roy moore disbarred.
if i were more motivated i would color some eggs.

saturday. 11 boxes to food not bombs. the back of my van is full of bags and bags of cookies and crackers from big lots.
vaccuumed. need to do laundry. bought a hat $3 for easter. verified acme still has its cheese priced wrong. need to clean the van front seat. smoked, found a backpack and two tool cases.
took some more CLE hours. moving it online has made it much cheaper, it was $75, used to take me $1000 a year. paid $400 for 6 months real esttae taxes. that's a month's pay but it's ok.
so. next, laundry, CLE, call tommy again. shower before church tomorrow. have dinner reservations.
have not done nebraska memo. have not drafted delaware complaint. doing the CLE's makes this a productive week if i get nothing else done.
squiirels ate my one tray of flower seedlings, i need to replant.

wednesday so far: plasma +51. vegan coffee $2. thrift store $9. box of groceries to tommy $32.
tuesday: not much. bought some soups. negotiated with my bank to remove some fees they tried to sneak onto my account. saw a groundhog and turtle.
climbed to the highest spot in a delaware, ebright azimuth. about 360 feet above sea level.
monday: don't recall.
sunday: church, then dinner out. the garlic potatoes and lychee sorbet were good.
