i took out the trash, mailed the bills, went to the store for decaf and lighbulbs, installed lightbulbs, installed decaf,
by the time the bank was done hassling me for not giving out my ssn without a privacy act statement, it was too late to call the car place.
to do: check phone messages. check mail at home. make better list. call car place. make some notes on memo. write advo. write credit union.
possibly reward self with visit to irish music night at local pub.

the following panel quotes justice scalia. we admire the justice for being outspoken, sometimes funny. some of his opinions are very good, others very bad. 'right versus left' isn't a useful way to
to think about the court. it's about up versus down, for liberty or for tyranny. scalia has a foot in both camps.
"I don't like sandal-wearing bearded weirdos . . who go around burning flags,"
http://www.acsblog.org/ cat-bill-of-rights.html
we got the quote from a liberal blog, so we don't know whether it was out of context. this was the michigan speech heidi bond blogged, we think.
then shouldn't i be a chicken?

did: ate breakfast, unclogged the sink, cooked lunch, did the dishes, sorted the laundry still to be done. that isn't much, but it's more than i've done in days. took out the trash, put dinner on.
didn't do the laundry yet, which is half my plan for the day. did look up some possible job info and emailed for more. didn't write a word of the memo yet. if i get enough chores done, i will allow
myself to go out tonight, but i don't expect to. did correct 3 typos just in this panel. didn't pay the electric bill.
the job info involves being an experimental animal in a clinical study in evansville. i've done it before, if not in evansville.

I'm not going to introduce myself and say hello as you clearly all know who I am. That would be making concessions to politeness in any case.
There's no need for all this modern technology and new-fangled design anyway, no-one wants it.

justice scalia, dissenting today in a case about executing kids:
fascinating.
the attempt by the court to turn its minority consensus into a faux majority by counting amishmen is an act of nomilogical desperation.

at first i thought these strips were pretty cool. i can't draw, so this is a quickie way to pretend to be a comicstripper.
so i have a plan, of sorts. scheme maybe - plan suggests it might happen.
did 20, now 30, pushups. getting dark out. tonight's agenda: beer.
but then i realized they were pretty lame, just some crazy guy talking to himself, like homeless people do.
so the scheme is to take these strips, and integrate them into a blog, like, say, penny arcade does. with merch and a board and links and suchlike.
but then i read thru them again , and they kinda tell a story. an epic drama, as yet unfinished.
i'll put my tech guy on it, but he's busy being a dot.com whiz kid.
is there a template you can just plug in? thousands of webcomics, do they all code by hand?

by arbi
3-08-05
a plan. a scheme.
heh. hackercomics.com has spinoffs, e.g. round robin. i actually thought robin was a chick; he's still cute.
a quest! the posmobile is broken down. and getting anywhere by bus is nigh on imposs-ible. and the west side is too far to bike.
a dream.
when the aardvark is in human drag, he's called robin.
the goal of the quest is a manga shop, otokurama.
a destiny.
hard to make webcomic and instant message at once.

wednesday, went to a raccoon creek meeting in broad ripple. while there, i stopped by karenoke at the mine shaft, waited for a bus that never came, went dancing at the vogue, rode my bike home
karen is the second best kareoke jock in town. 15 mile round trip. good meeting. froze my butt even with gloves and hat.

did: found another webcomic, "beaver and steve." it's so badly drawn, you might miss how funny it is.

tonight i went to the club, and ran into a guy i was in love with for years. he moved to n.o. 5 years ago so i don't see him much, and might never see him again.
pretty much over him, although was thinking about him earlier this week, about a time he danced for me at another club
he was with some guy. he tried to pick up one of the cute dancers - it almost worked, real chemistry i thought.
the thing about lawrence is, sometimes i get so riled up seeing him that i'll go home with the first guy who asks me. that didn't happen tonight. well, nobody asked me.
he kissed me on the lips for the first time, although it was more a kiss-off than any passion. but a nice solid hug.
not sure whether to be happy or sad about all this

my internet connection went down. i didn't panic. i rebooted. i unplugged, waited a bit, and rebooted. still nothing. i defragged, that took an hour, and rebooted.
back online! yay. i figure it's usually the cable company having problems. so i finished the book i started last night.
now i'm debating whether to go to the club in the pathetic hope that the guy from last night will show up again. he said he might. but it's cold out too, and i'm back online.
actually it's in the rare times that the connection goes down that i get useful work done.

friday - did nothing. went shopping, stopped at a bar i used to go to. it's gone downhill, if one can go downhill from skanky dive hole in the wall fleshpots
ok, there was one little thing. a friend had a death in the family and i talked him thru calling the hospital to authorize the organ harvesting, so somebody in north carolina is gonna have a new liver
saturday - did nothing. i just got up, how can it be evening already?
might or might not go to punk rock night at bubba's bowling alley. i havent been for a month.

stripcreator has changed its format slightly
well i guess it looks the same to you guys but the backend is different today, just takes a bit of getting used to.
yesterday i felt fuzzyheaded so i read a book, finished it today. a very bad book by the guy who wrote davinci code. review at my blog.
the websnark has a new comic up, gossamer commons
not much attempted today. email from a congresscritter, a call from a client, a few blog entries, read some webcomics, read enough Shays v FEC to get tired of it..
At 150 pages, it's one of judge tobor-telly's shorter opinions.
i went and registered for the snarks' comments section so i could join the penny arcade lovefest
it's past midnight, and i havent decided whether to go out or which of 3 places to go. i think i'll try going out. i got out several times last week, and the car's sort of running and the rain quit
besides, i think the roaches want a little alone time.

random comic layout is a new feature that will spice things up around here. already i've found several gabe's i didn't know about.
it's friday, 3 pm. i just got up. if i'm gonna get anything done this week, there's a two hour window, and i'm gonna blow half of that on a bath.
so last night i went out after all. got to the club, realized i forgot to bring money. took the emergency $5 from my wallet, spent some on jax, drank gin in my car instead of in the bar.
tonight's episode sponsored by www.waylay.com
came home, read a book - 1000 acres. it won a pulitzer, got good reviews. it's sort of a bodice-ripper, but well done.
three sisters and their farmer dad. he wanted three boys, so he could call the ranch "focus"
