Well, let's think. What's left to say? I think we can all agree it was nice to only see Gungans at the end, and they didn't say anything.
It was also nice to see Yoda talk to Obi-Wan about future training... how to talk to Qui-Gon... That was an obvious seed for the future. I want to see more about that sometime.
Definitely gave me hope for more to come. I mean, I didn't see it foreshadowing anything we've already seen in the future, so... who knows?
I liked seeing the new queen of Naboo, even if only for a moment. I'd like to learn more about her.
Yeah, like is she gonna grow up to be as much of a hottie as Padmé?
*rolleyes* Oh, Benny-san!

I tell you what else: I'm totally jonesin' for an extended cut on DVD. Lucas don't seem too famous for that kinda thing, though.
Hells yeah, I want an extended cut, too! Deleted scenes and whatnot. He best not punk on us!
Well guys, I must agree... though until we see what happens, I dare not hope. I know we've all been waiting for after Episode III to get any DVDs, hoping for a box set like last year's Episode IV-VI.
Yeah, and we all know that didn't have any deleted scenes or anything. Dammit. I continue to wish for the Luke-Biggs scene from the beginning of the movie...
Yeah, and I wanna see Luke's other childhood friends. Especially Camie!
Ah, yet another "hottie." It figures.

...But once again we stray from the topic! Now, could we possibly be forgetting anything?
Very probably, I'm afraid. Oh, there I've gone and quoted another sci-fi. Anyway, if we think of anything else, we can mention it in a later episode. And whenever we get the DVD...
...We can take notes!
So, final analysis?
It had its flaws, but on the whole, I would say... balance to the saga, did it bring.
You would say something stupid like that, boss. Just kidding! Nah, I pretty much agree... And now... I'm going to bed. Sayonara, oyasumi, and may the Force be with you...

Oh! I just remembered, I wanted to say... if Anakin couldn't live without Padmé, why didn't he just like kill himself or something, then?
It wasn't necessary. Anakin wasn't still alive. Only Vader.
*nods* Oh, hai. I guess you're right.
I also meant to say, sitting in the top row, looking down on the screen... I think it takes away some of the wonderment... to look up at the screen is sort of like looking up at the stars, y'know?
Indeed, you are wise beyond your years, bakawaii-senpai...
Of course, if I was as wise as Benny, I'd be in bed by now...

by bakawaii
5-23-05
Oh, would that we could all be as wise as Benny-san!
...Also, there was a scene where I think Obi-Wan called Palpatine the Emperor... though at that point I'm not sure how he'd know the Republic had been renamed the Empire...
Hmmm, I think you may be right. Either a continuity error, or else we both just missed something...
Ah well, whatever. *yawn* Seriously, I think this is the perfect time to call it a night... See ya round. I'll call ya when it's time for a new episode...
Oyasumi, bakawaii-senpai.
Oyasumi, Momoiro-san.... Damn I hope I don't remember more stuff to put in this episode after I'm in bed...

Konbanwa, Momoiro-san! Welp, this here's the final episode of Ohayou Ohio!
Hai, but we shall try not to be too sad about this, Benny-san! Let us think of the good things...
Like, Dave was pretty much over that cold we kept talking about... well, around the time we saw Revenge of the Sith!
...Which was the occasion of our previous episode. Gosh, that's a good long time ago now! Over two weeks!
Yeah well. It was more than long enough an episode to make up for such a long absence.
As is so often the case, Benny-san, you are correct...

by bakawaii

What else? Oh, at long last, season 5 of Jackie Chan Adventures has resumed! It hadn't been on since last October, but this past Saturday, there were 2 new eps!
Hai, not as good as some episodes have been, but still, it is nice to see the story continue, and see our old friends.
'Specially Jade. Always been my favorite. Such a cute, funny, cool, spirited little kid. And someday...
Please do not say it, Benny-san...
...Oh yeah, someday she's gonna be a major hottie. Not to mention a totally kick-ass demon-hunting special agent...
Ah... well, at least I can agree with half of what you say....

by bakawaii
6-06-05
Of course, Dave didn't get around to seeing the show till today. Along with several other shows on tape. And he's much yet to watch, though it may be some time before he gets to it...
Hai, for our producer, bakawaii-senpai, is as we have said before, moving to Maine. Which is why Ohayou Ohio is ending...
Right. So what becomes of us? I suppose in the meantime, we just go on watching anime and sci-fi and whatever. Business as usual. Just... without the business part.
Hai. Well... I hope we might see bakawaii-senpai again sometime. But we won't even see him online for some time, he will be without internet...
...And the people rejoiced...
Benny-san? Hello, what are you thinking about now, Benny-san...?

by bakawaii
6-06-05
Hmmm? What? Oh, sorry. Nothing. My mind just wandered, for a second there. But we've got a show to do. What else were we gonna talk about?
Let's see... well, we haven't had a chance to see any movies or much TV of late. Avatar was pretty good on Friday.
Ah yes, I loved the duel stories of the past, Aang talking to the lovely Katara, and Iroh talking to his men about Prince Zuko...
Very interesting character development for them both.
Yep. And then, The Batman was cooler than usual.
Hai, Joker playing Batman and forcing Batman to become Joker... sort of.... Good old jokes they each had, at the end....

Um... season premiere of the 4400 was last night. I taped it, haven't seen it yet. But I look forward to it.
I was only mildly interested in the first season, and don't remember it that well, I'm afraid... still, I do want to check out the new season...
One thing I remember that it- as alot of sci-fi- has in common with anime, is a precocious young girl. Of course, she's no Dakota Fanning....
But then again who is? Ah well, another such character may be Kanami, on s-CRY-ed, though I really haven't got much of a handle on that show yet.
I feel ya, Momoiro-san. Same wit Paranoia Agent. But I'm getting there with both shows, slowly but surely. Still liking Samurai Champloo...
Hai, and also we must report that the first episode of The Life and Times of Juniper Lee was most enjoyable...

True dat, sarcasm done right, for a change! Some cool jokes and cultural references, too. Some folks are saying this show is more like Buffy than American Dragon...
I agree, Benny-san. And the second episode was on Sunday, though unfortunately, we haven't seen it yet.
Right, we'll report on the continued quality of the show when we get a chance to watch more eps... ah, life is so hectic of late!
Hai. Well... we want to check out The Inside, on FOX, on Wednesday, and the MTV Movie Awards on Thursday. If we get a chance. But as you say... hectic!
Yep. Let's see, Friday some movies come out. I wanna see Shark Boy and Lava Girl. That Lava Girl, the most apropos hottie since Trance Gemini... if not on the same level, of course...
Uh... hai. It should be an interesting movie. Also, Howl's Moving Castle will be released in a limited capacity, which means that we, alas, shall likely not get to see it in theaters.

by bakawaii
6-06-05
Tis a pity. Also coming out is Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And Into the West starts on TNT. Once again, our hectic schedule may preclude seeing it. I hope not, though.
June 11 is King Kamehameha Day in Hawaii! Surely this shall be of interest to fans of Dragonball...
Yeah, have fun with that, kids. Learn a little history, why don't you? But speaking of Hawaii, have you heard that "rhyming couplet" Dave wrote recently?
Iie! Recite it for us, if you would!
"The girls from Hawaii/ are very kawaii"
*rolleyes* Sounds more like something you'd write, Benny-san!

by bakawaii
6-06-05
yeah, I can see where you might think that, but no. I ain't such a brilliant poet like that, now...
Hmmm. Moving on, the season premiere of The Dead Zone is June 12. That should be interesting.
Ah yes, USA network is the place to be, for summer series!
Well, that and Cartoon Network, of course.
Goes without saying, my friend. Always. Oh, and Summerland's summer season begins on the 13th on the WB... if anyone cares...
Everyone cares that June 17, Batman Begins opens!

Nice segue. By the way, that reminds me of a song...
Dare I ask?
K-k-k-katie, beautiful Katie... yeah, that's all I know.
Um, is that a real song, Benny-san?
Hells if I know. I just remember hearing it on Kate & Allie one time, years ago. The guy singin' it prob'ly made it up on the spot, for all I know...
I'm sure I wouldn't know, I've never heard it at all... Anyway, there are other events coming this month, the most important being War of the Worlds, June 29. Speaking of Dakota Fanning.

by bakawaii
6-06-05
Right on, and still more events next month. And some things unscheduled at this time...
Hai. Well, that's about all the time we have for this episode. I think we've done an excellent job of remaining upbeat, considering this is our last episode...
True dat. Not a good job of doing an episode, but at least of being upbeat for it... And why is that, do you suppose, Momoiro-san?
A good question, Benny-san. Another: why shall our lives remain so hectic in the coming days and perhaps weeks, if we're now out of a job...?
Ooh, I've got another good question, Momoiro-san! Nanika atta, America?
Ooh, a most telling question, that, Benny-san...! One can only hope all these questions shall be answered before too long.... But for now, Sayonara and oyasumi, Ohio!

by bakawaii
6-06-05
Good show, guys. Just one note, Benny... when you said "we'll report on..." you know, whatever, about Juniper Lee, that might have given away-
Dude, I know! I was so ready to kick myself as soon as I heard the words come out of my mouth! But I just kept going, hoped no one would notice. Besides...
Besides, bakawaii-senpai, the final joke, the question, "nanika atta, America..."
I know, I know... anyone who's been paying close attention to the show would totally get that... chances are even some who haven't been paying attention would figure it out...
And anyone who's not watching at all... well what the hell do they care, anyway? Meh, none of it really matters. Coy ain't my strong suit...
Ooh, bakawaii-senpai! Do you think we could get a koi pond for the new--

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Nanika atta, America?!
Yo, that means "what's up?" Just so you'll understand the title of our little show, here...
Hai, that is right, Benny-san. Also, our episodes are titled as Japanese numbers. You may wonder why our first episode is called "Ju go..."
Well, if they knew that "ju go" means 15, they might... So here's the thing: our show used to be called "Ohayou Ohio." Pretty clever, eh?
Perhaps it would seem cleverer if they knew it was originally a show local to Ohio...
I'm willing to bet they would've guessed that from the context, Momoiro-san, but I was getting to that, anyway.... of course, I still don't think it was all that clever....

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Ah, so it was an example of the sarcasm of which you are so fond. And at our producer's expense!
Hey, I'm not saying he picked a bad title for the show, I'm just saying it was kinda obvious.
Anyway, our show ran for 14 episodes before being picked up nationally. We may have changed our name now that we are no longer in Ohio, but we still consider this our 15th episode.
Right on. And if this here becomes a success, look for a special edition DVD of our first 14 episodes. We'll keep you posted...
Oh, Benny-san, I think you are jumping the gun, just a little. Don't jinx us so soon!
What jinx? I don't think my talkin' like we might be a hit is gonna be worse for our luck than, say, our low production values...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Okay. Anyway, we should introduce ourselves, for those who are new to our show. I am Momoiro Nekochan.
And I'm Benny Iro. Momoiro's issei, which means she was born in Japan, and immigrated to America. Although you might wonder about her ears...
Hai, most Nihonjin do not have cat ears like this. Or the paws...
Yeah, anything else catlike about you? And how'd this happen, anyway?
Iie, those are my only catlike features. As for how it happened, I'd rather not talk about it on national television. At least not yet.
Ooh, a deep, dark secret! Yeah, let's save that for sweeps....

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Anyway, Benny-san is nissei, which means he was born in America, to issei. Actually, to one issei and one American. He is konketsunohito, a mixed race person.
As you can tell, we'll be using alot of Nihongo on this show. That is, Japanese language. Most of the time I'll translate for our viewers.
Hai, and sometimes I will, as well. Anyway, hopefully you'll find the show entertaining...
...But even if you don't, at least you might learn something!
Hai, and what could be more fun than learning?
Spoken like a true Nihonjin... ...is just the kind of stereotypical quip you won't hear us say, around here!

by bakawaii
7-19-05
By the way, "Nihonjin" means "Japanese person living in Japan." And Benny-san, I didn't find that amusing. Even to say we won't say those sorts of things.
Hey, ai kid because ai love.
...Is that supposed to be a pun? Because "ai" means "love"?
Dude, how did you even hear me spell the word that way in my mind?
I know you too well.
Yeah, and see... that is just the kind of lame-ass pun I will make fairly often...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
It's times like these I wish bakawaii-senpai would take a greater hand in writing the show, instead of leaving us to improvise everything...
Which reminds me, we should introduce our producer. He calls himself "bakawaii," a compound word he came up with, from "baka" which means "idiot" and "kawaii," which means "cute."
Hai. Because he thinks he seems stupid whenever he tries to be cute. And while I generally disagree, I go along with his chosen name, out of respect for his position of authority.
Right. But I usually just call him by his real name, Dave. Not that I don't respect his authority... but shoot, bakawaii? Dude, lame! Sheesh... Dave no baka....
Dave no bakawaii. I think the reverse of his explanation the moniker is true. I think it's more like he's cute when he tries to be stupid.
Well, the truth is actually probably somewhere in between. Whatever the case, we're stuck with him. And we're relatively happy about it. I guess.

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Well, here he is! Our producer, Dave, aka bakawaii!
Konbanwa, Momoiro-san. Good to be here. I should say, when you and Benny were using the word "no" just now, that was Japanese, indicating such things as possession or attributes...
Right, so if I say "Dave no baka," I could mean "Dave... you idiot" or "Dave's an idiot," or I could be talking about an idiot who belongs to Dave.
Obviously, you wouldn't likely use that meaning in this case. So you were just saying that he is an idiot.
Which, of course, shows a great deal of intelligence on your part. Calling the guy who signs your paychecks an idiot... it's a wonder NASA doesn't snap you up....
Paychecks? You mean now that we're national, we're actually gonna get paid? Right ON! And, uh... sorry, chief... You know ai kid, because...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
...because you love, yeah, I was watching the show earlier. That's kinda my job, you know. And Momoiro's right, I should do more of the writing myself...
Dude, c'mon, seriously. You're no better about making the lame puns and stuff than I am. We're actually pretty sympatico, when it comes to our senses of humor.
Benny-san is correct, bakawaii-senpai. You do have pretty much the same sense of humor. Not to change the subject, but... you won't actually be signing our paychecks, will you?
No, not actually. The network has people to do that. I may sort of be you guys's boss, but basically we're all employees of the network...
Yessir, we're all just dogs of the military, like Ed Elric! Hey, we should think of cool alchemist nicknames for ourselves. I could be the full irony alchemist!
Ooh, what could I be? Hmmm... I can't think of anything clever like Benny-san. Maybe just something like "cat ears alchemist."

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Okay, we all love Fullmetal Alchemist, but let's not go crazy, here. Besides, it's high time we start talking about entertainment news, shows we've watched lately, and stuff...
In other words, Dave can't think of a cool nickname, either...
Oh, hush, Benny-san! While you may be correct, so is bakawaii-senpai. We have a show to do. So let's get on with it...
Okay. Well, I've been enjoying guest stars on USA shows this season. That chick from "Committed" was on the Dead Zone. And Patrick Bauchau. Robert Picardo was on the 4400...
Lexa Doig has a recurring role on the 4400, so does Lindy Booth, a couple hotties I'm happy to see getting work on a show I like. Plus Summer Glau was in one ep, hope to see more of her.
Oh yeah, and Jeffrey Combs was in her ep. Jason Alexander was in Monk, and John Turturro was back as Monk's brother, though that ep reminded me alot of the other ep he was in...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Certainly all quite interesting, Benny-san, though we of course enjoy these shows for more than just the guest stars.
Oh, yeah, we enjoy the regulars, and the main thing is the story. Well, I've read alot of articles that say Monk is more about the character than the stories. They say the stories suck.
Well, I don't think they actually say they suck, but I know what you mean. Of course, we disagree, we like the stories.
Yeah, totally. The stories rock. But then, so do the characters. And that's USA's big thing this summer. I like their little ads about their various shows' characters.
As do I, Benny-san. Well, we're still watching the same animes and cartoons on Saturday nights. Although Duel Masters has moved to weekday mornings at 6...
Reruns, I think. I haven't been watching. And Rave Master moved to Sundays at 6am, which I didn't find out till last week, so I've missed a few eps...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Sorry to hear that, Benny-san. But you're catching up now?
Well, this past Sunday I watched. Taped it and watched later, that is. It was cool. Dunno if I'll ever get to see the eps I've missed, but whatev. Life goes on.
Meanwhile, still on Saturday nights is Teen Titans, which has been most interesting, of late, with the story arc about Raven and her father...
True dat. Glad it finally seems to be over, though, that was some intense shit. Course, even though it was all end-of-the-world, it still wasn't as intense as Justice League Unlimited has been...
Hai, the Cadmus storyline has been amazing! And while it, too, finally seems to be wrapping up, I don't think it'll ever really end. There will always be people in the government who remain suspicious
Paranoid is more like it. Anyway, I know Dave wants to write some of his fanfic, have his character the Kidder get kidnapped by Cadmus...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Hai, and I would be most interested to read that, if he ever gets around to writing it. Moreso, however, his newer idea, for an Avatar fanfic set in an alternate reality....
Yeah, that one would be cool, too. But we're not here to promote Dave's writing. So where were we? Oh yeah, still watching Zatch Bell...
And still not watching One Piece on Saturday nights, but on Saturday mornings on FOX... It is interesting, the shows that are supposed to be on Saturday on FOX actually are...
Right, cuz in some places, they air instead Sundays on the WB, and we got sorta used to that, so now it seems weird finally seeing them where they actually belong.
Speaking of regional TV differences, in Ohio we got cable from Adelphia, as we do now in Maine. However, their basic package has some differences.
Yep. We've gained CBC, which I know Dave is glad of. He used to get that before he moved to Ohio, watched it off the air. And having it now means we can finally watch reruns of the new Doctor Who.

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Hai, this is good. I know we all wished to see it when it began, but it wasn't on any channel we got. Of course, now we all think it's not as good as the old show, but still fun.
Right on, and Rose is a hottie. Just as Companions should be. Speaking of hottie Companions, looking forward to the Serenity movie in September.
And of course, the 3-issue Serenity comic book, of which so far the first issue has been released.
Yeah, and also I read where Morena Baccarin might play Wonder Woman in Joss's new movie. That would so utterly rock! I hope it's true.
I wouldn't mind, either, Benny-san, but probably not for all the same reasons as you.
Yeah. Anyway... other channels we gained: Toon Disney, which is cool even though we mostly watch shows we could see on ABC Family, like The Tick and W.I.T.C.H. But ya gotta love the Weekenders reruns.

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Hai, though I'm hoping to discover other things, like Darkwing Duck maybe... Anyway, we have also gained Hallmark Channel, and a French channel called TV5, and Great American Country.
Yeah, although that last one broadcasts so much quieter than the other channels, it's too annoying to bother with. So I'll just stick to CMT if I wanna watch country music videos.
Well, now as for channels we've lost... There's MTV2, which we quite miss, though we are glad to be able to see Andy Milonakis on MTV...
True dat! That kid is so freakin' crazy! Funny stuff, man. We've also lost VH1 Classic and... I dunno, maybe some others. *shrug*
What were we talking about before we got off on this tangent, Benny-san?
Cartoons and anime, of course. Um... we watch Samurai Champloo, which remains cool, and Inuyasha, and Paranoia Agent, which remains freaky but interesting, and s-CRY-ed...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
...Which remains... I know not what, but whatever it is, we keep trying to figure it out. Also, Juniper Lee. Yes, we said in, I believe, our last episode in Ohio, we'd report on that further...
And so we shall. Our enthusiasm, I must say, has perhaps slightly lessened since the pilot, however, we still think it's pretty kickin'. And the theme song grows on you.
Speaking of songs, I'm liking "These Words" by Natasha Bedingfield.
Thank you for the set up. Yeah, as I was telling you earlier, that song reminds me sort of of Juniper. Just, June's the Protector, called the Te Xuan Ze....
And those three words I now always hear in my head to the beat of "These Words," you know, that whole "D-E-F" three syllable punch at the end of so many lines in that song...
Benny, I'm the one who told you that I hear those words like that in my head...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
Really, Benny-san, you must try to stop confusing yourself with bakawaii-senpai.
{shiver} Momoiro-san, when you said that, it felt like someone walked over my grave.
*rolleyes*
Ai kid my friend Dave, because
Hush!
Sorry. Now, thinking of all we said in our last episode, to update... um... oh yeah, we never got a chance to see the MTV Movie Awards. That totally bites.

by bakawaii
7-19-05
http://www.angelfire.com/ weird/ektomage/feature/comix.html
Hai, it does bite. But as you said before, life goes on. More importantly, we all saw Batman Begins, and it totally rocked!
True dat. And Dave wants me to say to our viewers, go to the URL on your TV screen to read his review of the movie... Oh, nice, Dave! Take away all our fun!
Hai, I'm afraid I have to agree with Benny-san on this one, bakawaii-senpai. If they just read your review, there's no point in our discussing it here...
Oh... now he says we're running short on time, and maybe we can discuss it next episode. I doubt that'll happen...
Well, considering how rarely we get to see movies, and how we can't discuss the same shows day after day, we need something to discuss...
I guess that's true. So, um, before we go, what else is there? Been watching House reruns since we never saw it in the regular season... in fact there's one coming up in 15 minutes...

by bakawaii
7-19-05
No doubt this is why bakawaii-senpai is in a hurry to get the show over with.
No doubt. That and we're seriously running out of matieral, and it's been a long show, if not as long as our Sith episode. Oh yeah, and we've been watching The Inside on FOX, and barely enjoying it.
Summer. The TV landscape is pretty bare. New eps of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Some show called Martin Mystery on Nick. And Naturally, Sadie on Disney.
Plus new eps of Phil of the Future, sometimes. Oh, and we caught that marathon of Battlestar Galactica, and started watching the new season.
Sayonara and Oyasumi!
And I think that just about catches our viewers up on what we've been doing this summer. We're total pale kids! Which reminds me, we should catch some Recess reruns...
Maybe. Well, America, that's it. Our shows can be on any time of day, any day of the week, be long or short, funny or not. Dave promises we'll start booking some stars. I ain't holding my breath...

by bakawaii
7-21-05
Ring!
Moshi moshi... Oh, hi Dave... No, I didn't catch it. I was thinking about it, but I forgot. Anyway, when are you gonna get here, man? Momoiro and I have been waiting...
What? How can we start the show without you? You're the frickin' producer! ...Dude, how can I talk about the Bob Newhart special, I told you I missed it...
...Look, I'm sorry if you think they gave his show "Bob" short shrift, but I never saw that, either, so I don't see how... Yeah, I guess I'd agree that Cynthia Stevenson is hot, but I haven't really..

by bakawaii
7-21-05
Who the hell is Timothy Fall? Listen, man, you're like a decade older than me, of course we won't have seen all the same shows... No, I never saw Love & War, either.
...Okay, now you've totally lost me. What do 5th Avenue bars have to do with...? Then why'd you bring it up? *sigh* Yeah, my mind wanders to some strange places, too...
Oh, you did? ...Mad Dog, huh? Bob's version on one side, Harlan's on the other? ...Yeah, I don't have any idea what you're talking about, but I guess it sounds cool...

by bakawaii
7-21-05
...Sure, I wouldn't mind borrowing the comix sometime... Look, if you wanna find out if it's ever gonna be on DVD, you should... Oh, you did that. So why are you asking me, then?
...Dude, way to change the subject. Yeah, I remember the series finale of Newhart. That rocked. ...Yes, even though I never watched the Bob Newhart Show...
No, I don't think I saw the Bob Newhart Show 19th Anniversary Special, either... How should I know? ...Well if you never watched the series, why do you even care?

by bakawaii
7-21-05
*sigh* Yeah, I like things to make sense sometimes, too. Can we talk about something else, though? ...Dude, no, I seriously don't think William Sanderson is an immortal...
Roanoke? Why the hell would... The same name? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's just a coincidence. ...No, I don't think the actor has any idea what happened to the colonists...
...Yeah, I know he did a guest voice on Batman TAS. ...Yeah, I know he was in Blade Runner. ...No, you know I can't afford HBO any more than you can, so of course I haven't seen Deadwood...

by bakawaii
7-21-05
...Yeah, I'd like to, too, but... Heh, no, probably a little too rough for Momoiro's tastes... Well maybe if we could actually get the show started, the network would pay us, and then...
Whattaya mean, it's already on? ...Dammit, Dave! ...No, I don't think a phone bit would be funny. Who the hell do you think you are, Bob Newhart or somebody?
Oh, I'm supposed to be playing the Newhart role in the bit? I wish you'd tell me these things in advance, dude. ...No, I guess you're right, you're funnier as a phone than as a person....

by bakawaii
7-21-05
...No, I absolutely don't think the bit would be funnier if I stuttered... Cuz nobody's about to hand me the title of "American Master," that's why...
What? Yeah, okay, whatever... Hey, Momoiro-san! Dave wants to talk to you...
Moshi-- Iie, I've never practiced stuttering, why do you ask...?

Hey, nanika atta, America? And how you doin', Momoiro-san?
Well, since I convinced bakawaii-senpai he'd taken the phone bit as far as it would go, I'm doing alright...
Right on. Now, it's time to explain something for the viewes who just joined us the other day, with our first national show. Don't want them to be confused, here...
Hai. We have a sort of tradition on this show, in that each episode, Benny-san and I trade places. One day I sit on the left, the next day he does, and so on...
We gotta say that, so your subconscious doesn't drive you nuts, trying to figure out what's wrong with this picture.
And now, on with the show...

Wait, first there were a couple other things I wanted to say. Like, we're all about product placement. So there's a website Dave and I were talking about earlier...
Except that you didn't get to mention its name, Benny-san.
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/
Right. So now I will. it's TVShowsOnDVD.com. If there's any shows you wanna see on DVD, make a list there, and they'll email you whenever there's news about any shows on your list.
Hai, and even if you don't have a list, you can check the site for news of any upcoming TV DVD releases.
Even if you do have a list, that's advisable. One of my problems is sometimes I forget to put shows on my list, so I miss news on them...
It's true, he's always complaining about not getting emails about shows he could've sworn were on his list, when he hears about them elsewhere...

Anyway, I think the other thing I wanted to mention was that we like cartoons and especially anime...
I'm willing to bet they would've guessed that from the context, Benny-san...
Oh-ho, throwing my own quips back at me, eh?
All's fair in love and television. Or is it television and war?
Moving on... I was going to say, cartoons, anime, comix, manga, sci-fi, all sorts of stuff like that. But our show is about any kind of entertainment.
Hai. If you like it, sooner or later we'll probably discuss it here. Unless it's reality television. In that case, the most you can hope for is the occasional dis.

And btw, if any of you viewers try to lump talk shows like this one in with reality TV, we will find you, and we will kill you.
Hai. Entertainment talk shows don't count as reality shows. Now, talk shows where everyone just fights and makes fools of themselves are another story...
Right on. Shows like Jerry Springer... or anything sleezy like Howard Stern... well, they're just not like us.
Although you do like to talk about the hotties, Benny-san...
Hey, talk's cheap. But not as cheap as the kind of talk on Stern's show. And damn sure not as cheap as the girls he has on...
True. So we must thank people like Howard Stern. For they make it easier for people like Benny-san to pass for gentlemen.

Hey, I resemble that remark!
My apologies, Benny-san. You are a gentleman. But you must admit, society isn't as polite as it once was.
Dude, society's no less polite, it's just more open about its crudities than it used to be. Which reminds me, where's the catering cart, I'm hungry?
? ...Oh, crudities, crudités. How very clever, Benny-san.
Puns are the most fun ever! You know, except for everything else that exists...
Agreed. And when I called you clever... that was just your trademark sarcasm, finally starting to rub off on me...

You mustn't be so modest, Momoiro-san; you've been sarcastic plenty of times before.
But of course, you are right. Now... weren't we going to talk about Batman Begins, today?
Ohh yeahh, I forgot! Well, we've both read Dave's review, so let's talk about that...
Iie, first we were supposed to talk about the trailers.
Dude, your memory works way better than mine. You got a pretty good head under them pretty ears of yours, Momoiro-san.
Arigatou, Benny-san! Now then, first we wanted to say how disappointed we all were that there was no Serenity trailer...

by bakawaii
7-21-05
True that! Man, the three of us so rarely get to go to the movies. Hoped for the Serenity trailer with Revenge of the Sith, didn't get it. And again with Batman... shoot!
It is a lucky thing trailers can always be found on the Internet, these days.
Yeah, but that doesn't stop me from jonesing to see the damn thing on the big screen.
...Especially when we know some people see the same movies we do, and get to see the trailer.
I guess we's just cursed, is what we is. Still, once those network paychecks start rolling in, we may get to see more movies, improve our odds...
Of course, our network is so new, Adelphia doesn't carry it yet, so we can't even watch our own show! I just hope the network doesn't go under before we get our first paychecks...

by bakawaii

I heard that! So viewers, call your local cable or satellite provider, and demand they carry Jacuzzi Central...
Uh... Benny-san? If someone's watching us, doesn't that mean they already get our network?
Dude, don't confuse me with logic!
But Benny-san...
Yeah, okay, you're right, whatever. I'm not paid for my critical thinking, I'm paid to talk about movies and TV and stuff...
Of course. Perish the thought that this should ever require you to think critically...

Woah. Just don't call me a critic, okay? I'm just some guy. With a TV show. Talking about stuff. With a friend or two. Like, the fact I'm doing it on TV is almost beside the point.
It's a wonder you even ask for a paycheck at all...
I never got paid to do this back in Ohio. And I still ain't seen my first paycheck from Jacuzzi... but I damn sure better get one.
Which is why we're urging all our viewers to call their cable or satellite providers...
Um... is my stupidity starting to rub off on you, now, or what?
Iie, it's just our shared desperation. I must pay rent in a couple of weeks, after all...

by bakawaii

Right on, me too. Now, if we wanna get paid, I reckon we'll have to start doing our jobs. Back to the movie- which trailers, did we get to see?
Brothers Grimm, first. Lookedlike it might be interesting. But I don't remember it well, now.
Yeah, it's been a few weeks since we saw the movie. Well, then there was a trailer for War of the Worlds. It was definitely better than the one we saw with Sith.
Hai. I wish we could go see the movie...
It should still be in theaters by the time we get paid. Then there was a trailer for Dukes of Hazzard. I don't really remember it, though I think there may have been something in it I liked.
Nevertheless, neither of us has any particular interest in seeing the movie...
